From every point of view except the
important one of finance, the Senior
Prom, just past was a most successful
affair. Not a hitch occurred to mar
the evening's enjoymont, the music and
refreshments were excellent, the floor
good and the crowd not too largo, and
not quito large enough. It was not
aimed to have the dance a moneymak
ing affair, as so many have been in tho
past, but only a few over fifty couples
attended', which was not as many as
the committee wished1, or as the prep
arations they had made deserved.
One pleasant feature was the noticc
uble absence of-stags. One, perhaps,
two, who are not out of place, were
observed, but tho usual number of
eighteen or twenty were not in evi
dence. What means those in charge
adopted! .to rid themselves of thesq
hangereon is not known, but it Is hoped
they will divulge their secret.
Rumor soys the dancing room at the
Lincoln hotel is to be transformed into
a lunch room of some kind, and' will
soon bo not available for dances. This
hall has usually beon of Just tho right
size to accommodate the crowd' that at
tends the more formul functions held
at the Lincoln, and the seclusion and
quiet prominades havo made this a
most popular place lor University
dances. Already tho Flemish- Cafe is
being removed to a new location at the
Capitol hotel, and probabiy a new lo
cation for the dancing parties will
have to be sought to take tho place of
tho Lincoln.
Tho Viking dance is set for April 22
at Walsh Hall.
The alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha
Theta will meet Wednesday afternoon.
Theta Nu Ep&llon will give a dinner
dance at the Lincoln Friday evening.
The Innocents will hold a smoker
at the Delta U house Thursday evening.
Alpha Omicron PI entertained the
members of PI Beta Phi at the home
of Miss Lure Beemer Saturday even
ing. The Faculty Women's club will be
entertained by Mrs. Barbour and Mrs.
Kimball at the home of Mrs. Kimball,

Four men were initiated into the en
gineering frnternity of Sigma Tau last
Thursday. The ceremonies were con
ducted at the Sigma Alph chapter
