Mayor Phillips is exbibitiag some very commendable zeal in enforcing the weed ordinance in Columbus. Since the middle of last week city employees have been busy cutting weeds from the streets and alleys and property owners have received gentle reminders from the chief of police that they will be expect ed to out the weeds on their lots and from the street adjacent for a distance often feet from their lot lines. So favorable to vegetation has been the weather of the past week that, weeds nave sprung up in leaps and bounds and it is little wonder that in many cases the most careful property owners have overlooked small patches of weeds. However this is the time to extermin ate weeds while stalks are teader, and a few days of co-operation between prop erty owners and city authorities will add much to the beauty of oar city P!aBBmmYav'BaBBBK' aWawBBmL mBBBBBBlBBw SPi-Tft- ,sj Dr. J.
