Calwmn. The silver medal contest was en joyed by the large audience that gatherad at the church last Saturday evening. Besides the spend ! d orations by the iive contestants , there were other numbers on the program that were highly enter taining and the whole occasion was a pronounced success , much to the pleasure and satisfaction of the superintendant of contest work. Miss Gertrude Shelbourn won the medal. Miss Edna Hobson ranked second. The proceeds amounted to $16.40. The nest , class will be for the gold medal , to take place in June. Mrs. Moon wishes that all who hold "silver medals" will ap ply for the contest books and get their names as members of the class. These articles are educational and are attracting much attention. There is always a page devoted to women fashions , household hints and feminine matters gener ally. ally.A A new novel begins on the first Sunday each month and ends on the last Sunday , occupying , with pictures , about 14 columns each Sunday.
