Minutes of the last session ap proved and the following basl- ness was transacted in regular form: A tentative Budget for 1963-64 was submitted to the Board. ..The School Superintendent filed the annual finaicial state ment of the Cass County insti tute fund. .Motion was made bv Todd and seconded by Greg? to appoint Raymond Freeman of Weeping Water, Nebraska to the Veterans Service Committee to fill the un expired term of Mr. Lloyd Lane Mr. Lane's term expires 7-1-65. Motion carried. Motion was made bv Todd and seconded by Gregg that the County appropriate $5275 00 for the Cass Countv Fair. This Is the amount the Fair Board asked for. Motion carried. COrNCIL 1MTETING MIXTTES July 8. 1963 City Council met In regular session at 7:30 o'clock P.M., with the following present: Mayor L. W. Moore; Councllmen James McMilllan, Robert A sped on, Joseph Highfield, Sterling Cole, Donald Aylor. Raymond Smock, Lloyd Morehead; City Clerk Erna M. Yenney. Absent: Coun cilman Elmore Brink. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Tom Solomon, Pres. of the Plattsmouth Vol. Fire Dept., Clem Woster and Fire Chief Joseph Kruntorad were present as representatives of the Platts mouth Vol. Fire Dept. to discuss the need for a new fire truck for the department and discuss the funds necessary for same. After discussion, motion carried to authorize the Fire Depart ment members to prepare spec ulations for publication for bids (or the purchase of a new fire truck and a loan transfer be made from the Parking Met er Fund of up to $1,500.00 for funds necessary to be added to the funds on hand for the pur chase. The loan to be restored as the mill levy funds are re ceived by the Fire Dept. fund. Motion carried to accept the Police Dept. Activity report for the month of June, 1963 and place same on file. Motion carried to accept the report of the Parking Meter col lections for the weeks entling June 25 it July 1, 1963 as being In the amounts of $287.50 and $19900 respectively. Motion carried to accept the report of the Police Judge for the weeks ending June 29 it July 6, 1963 and place same on file. Motion carried that since no protests had been filed In op position to the Ordinance as proposed and published for the construction of storm water sewers and all appurtenances thereto and to the creation of Storm Water Sewer Dist. No. 1 which was proposed on June 24, 1963 and published according to law, that an ordinance en titled "AN ORDINANCE CREAT ING STORM WATER SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 IN THE CITY OF PLATTSMOUTH. NEBRAS KA, DECLARING THE ADVIS ABILITY AND NECESSITY OF CONSTRUCTING 6TORM WAT ER SEWERS IN THE CITY AND ALL APPURTENANCES THERE TO AND FIXING THE OUTER BOUNDARIES OF THE DIS TRICT IN WHICH IT IS PRO POSED TO MAKE SPECIAL AS SESSMENTS" be passed under suspension of rules. This ordin ance was designated as Ordn ance No. 1052.
