Carl Snodgrass who is in the Methodist Hospital in Oma ha underwent major surgery on Thursday, July 11. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Albert and Mr. and Mrs. George Do lan enjoyed an outing Sunday of fishing, boating and picnick ing at Decatur, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fiala and sons, Ritchie and Frank visited Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Craney in Marne, Iowa Sunday. The occasion was the celebra tion of Mrs. Craney's birthday. Other guests for the occasion were Mrs. Robert Davis and children, Mrs. Frank Fiala and John Brosinham all of Omaha. Mike Dolan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dolan, entered the Methodist Hospital in Omaha on Tuesday for observation and returned home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Issac returned home Saturday after spending two weeks vacation In the Rocky Mountains near Ever green, Colo. Enroute home they stopped in Hastings, Nebraska and visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Redfield. Their grandsons, Ricky and Dana came home with them for a week's vacation. Mr. and Mrs. George Rhoden and children, Steve, Mary and Danny and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hochel, Sr., of San Fernando Valley, Calif., arrived Monday and will spend two weeks visit ing relatives in Louisville and Plattsmouth. They were former residents of Louisville. July 15, Kathy Urwin cele brated her 1st birthday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Urwin. Guests for the occasion were her grand parents, Mr. and Mr&r- Linus Massoth and children of Man ley, Mr. and Mrs. Don Urwin of Louisville and Steven Peck of Blair, Randy Baker of Weeping Water and Joyce Campbell of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dane of Boca Raton, Florida, who are spending the summer at Iowa City, came Wednesday to spend several days with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ross. Mr. Ross and Mrs. Dane are sisters. Thursday the Rosses and their guests visited at the Arlo and Richard Pratt homes at Elm wood; Thursday afternoon at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Guy Lake of Lincoln and at the Arthur Rough home at Weeping Water; Friday they were supper ' - ,.B TV " .. r. ,-. The Nehawka consolidated school board was reorganized at the July meeting. The officers are Mrs. John Chandler, pres ident; Harry Knabc, vice presi dent; Ivan Hansen, secretary; D e a n e Nutzman, treasurer; Elmer Fitch, and Earl Nolte, bus committee; Harry Knabe, grounds chairman; Elmer Fitch, Ivan Hansen and Mrs. Chandler, Americanism committee. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Comer of Union and Mrs. Jessie Ulster of Mississippi called at the home of Mrs. Ona Kunkel Saturday afternoon. Sunday evening Mrs. Kunkel accompanied Mr. and Mr.s. L. N. Kunkel of Weeping Water to Nebraska City to visit Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bnodgrass.
