Of the total 1,393 arrests made, 1,379 violators were found guilty by the courts. Carl Gettmann, section chief of the Law Enforcement Dlvis-I Ion, said the high conviction percentage "reflects high effic-j lcncy on me part oi me oim;ert as well as excellent co-operation by Nebraska's prosecutors and courts." The 1,379 convicted violators paid $18,645 in total fines, $5. 774 25 In court costs and $4,025 In liquidated damages. Patrolling was done on foot, by boat or canoe, In automobiles, aircraft and sometimes on horse back. The law enforcement division has 43 officers one section chief, one chief pllot-communl-catlons officer, five district sup ervisors, one officer-pilot and 35 area officers. Cub Leaders Meet At Weeping Water WEEPING WATER (Special) The Cub 8cout leaders meet ing was held on Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Mogensen. Plans were made for the April pack meet ing which will be held on April 24th. Each family Is to bring cup cakes for refreshments. The kitchen committee will be Mis. Darrell Mather and Mrs. Troy Doty. The program for the April meeting will be group singing and action songs. Each den Is to practice on the Grand Howl. Den 2 won the attendance prize for the March pack meeting by having the most parents pres ent. Mrs. Harold Cummlrigs and Mrs. Carroll Wright are the den mothers. The theme for April Is "up above and underneath." Each den is to study the ou'.door rode. April 18 a recognition dinner will be held In Lincoln. April 19 the Cub Scouts and their fathers vill attend the Shrine Circus at the Civic Auditorium in Omaha. At the close of the meeting Mrs. Mogensen served rcfressh ments. Airman Oliver Rhoads was unable to be pres ent as he underwent surgery at Offutt Air Base Hospital Thurs day.
