Mrs. Wessel attended the Guenther family reunion at the Riverside Park at Beatrice Sunday and Lois returned home with her Monday. A cooperative dinner Sunday at the Ellis Lacy home was given for Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harshman and son, Ron, who will be leaving soon to make their home at St. Louis. Present were Mrs. Delia Wade, Weeping Water; Mr. and Mrs. Deroy Har shman and Danny, Platts mouth; Mr. and Mrs. George McFadden, Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth Bauers, Aloris and Harlan, Lincoln; Mr. end Mrs. Wilmer Harshman and Mrs. Anna Har shman. Mrs. Jerry Harshman enter tained at a coffee and pink and blue shower Friday morning for Alan Spangler. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burn tide and family of Newell, Iowa were weekend guests of the Clinton Anderson family. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Doedyns and five daughters of Bishop were guests the first of the week of the An dersons and of Dan Anderson. Picnic supper guests of the An dersons ' Wednefday were the Doedyns family, Lyman Ander son family of Phoenix, Arizona; Mr. and Mrs. Enno Ahrens of Plattsmouth. Sunday evening the Ahrens entertained at sup per. Guests were the sons and daughters of Dan Anderson and their families. Present were the Lyman Anderson, family; Joe Doedyns family and the Robert Romans family of Mannatten, Kansas and Dan Anderson and and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burnside, Susan and Gregory. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson entertained Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Anderson and Brian at dinner at Nebraska City Tuesday. A cooperative supper at the Jake Stapert home Sunday in cluded the James Chriswisser famly and the Staperts. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whipple and daughter, Mary of Reseda, Calif., arrived August 22 to visit with relatives, the Bill Brandt family of Avoca and her father, Wm.. Brandt Sr.; the Wm. Whip ple family of Union; Chester Sporers of Murray and the Oscar Brandt family of Nehawka. The Whlpples are former Nenawka resident. They left for their home August 30. Mr. and Mrs. George Sheldon have returned from a months vacation. They drove to Calgary. Edmonton and Alberta, Canada and attended the World's Fair at Seattle. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Marshall at Payette, Idaho rnd Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fowler in Colorado Springs, Mrs. Anna Marshall in Denver. David, Phil and Mary Owen of Lincoln were guests of the Sheldons from Friday until Tuesday. The Red Cross bloodrao bile will be in Nehawka at the audi torium from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 19. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Banks and son have moved from Om aha to Igloo, So. Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Banks have gone to Oregon to visit his brother, Huile and they will attend the World's Fair. BEEF SHOWMAN Gene Noell of Murray won the beef show manship championship at the County Fair Thursday. The girls attended the County Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Domin go and Mrs. Gayle Meeske, Bar bara and Terry of Omaha were in Lincoln Friday. Kenneth Do mingo of Lincoln accompanied them home and spent the week end. Randall Ratliff of Omaha also spent the weekend a"t the Domingo home.' Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nielsen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ri chard Nielsen of Avoca on a trip to the Black Hills and the Badlands. They left Sunday and returned home Wednesday eve ning. Rasmus Petersen stayed with Peter Lund while Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nielsen were away. Mrs. Ben Olive and Mrs. Fred Neumeister were Saturday cof fee guests of Mrs. T. H. Han Ian. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Plunkett and Wendell spent from Friday until Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Deal Fulton and boys at Knoxville, Iowa. Mrs. Fulton and boys accompanied the Plun kett family home and spent the week with them. Mrs. Emma Kaffenberger of Plattsmouth and Steven Mei singer returned home Wednes day morning after a 10-day visit with Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kin dall and family at Gunnison, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berg mann and Debra entertained at a dinner Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Thorns and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Meisinger, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rathe and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Bergmann, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klema and Frank of Murdock, Joe Martis of Manley and Mrs. George Schmidt of Adams. James Meisinger and Robert Rathe left Sunday for a week's vacation trip to Colorado and Utah. H. D. Ash spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lyal Flemming and Steven Flemming of Papil lion. Mrs. Glen Ashlock and Mrs. Lyal Fleming went to Papillion Thursday afternoon and brought Steven Fleming to the Fleming home so he could attend the Fair with his grandparents. Baker and family went to Omaha Sunday night to meet Mrs. Charles Han son and daughter of Minneapolis who are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baker Sr. and with Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Baker and family. Mr. Hanson planned to join his family over Labor Day. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Allgayer attended the wedding Saturday evening at the Methodist Church in Eagle of Rosalie Ostrander and Gary Marcoe. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Van Horn and John went to Lincoln Tuesday afternoon where they attended the show. "Tahari" to celebrate the 13th wedding anni versary of Mr. and Mrs. Van Horn. They visited with Mrs. Richard Nickels at the Bryan Memorial Hospital and saw the baby, Christine. They later had dinner 'in Lincoln. Richard Nickels and Mrs. Ed ward Van Horn went to the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lin coln on Wednesday and brought Mrs. Richard Nickels and Chris tine Lee home. She was a member of the stu dent council her junior year and served at the junior-senior prom; was usher for bac calaureate and commencement.
