The Duerrs purchased the acreage of their granddaughter, Mrs. Kenneth Miller of Omaha. Their son John Duerr came from California to build the new house and help his parents move in. In the belief that mufflers on motor vehicles ought to be of a type and in a condition to mini mize noise, the Mayor and City Council Monday night instruct ed Police Chief Fred Tesch to concentrate on enfocing applic able laws. Mayor Roy Moore said several complaints lately prompted at tention to mufflers. State law says: . . . "Muffler requirement cut-out prohibit ed. ... no persons shall drive a motor vehicle on a highway un less such motor vehicle is equip ped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise and annoying smoke . . . Penalty First con viction, punishable by a fine of not more than $100 or by im prisonment in the county or municipal jail for not more than 10 days; . . . second conviction, $200 andor 20 days in jail . . ." Louisville Boys Team To Play Tourney Opener The Louisville Midgets had one more game (Wednesday night 1 to play on their home field before they go to the Dis trict Tournament to be held in Syracuse. Sunday, the Midgets play the first game of the District Tour nament. Their opposition will be Palmyra, the game starting at 1:30. Manager E. L. Isaac said today he hopes that the fans from Louisville will get up a caravan and go to Syracuse and support their Midget them.
