The baby weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces and has been named Rex Allen. The new babv has two brothers. Mrs. Cooper is getting along fine since having surgery and plans cm going back to work at Western Electric March 2Gth. Mrs. Hertha Fitch. Miss Ah lene Fitch and Henry Schaefer of Kim wood were dinner guests on Thursday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knaup. Mr. and Mrs. William Klemme and Steven of Nohawka, Mrs. August Klemme of Weeping Water, Mr. and Mrs. Norton Johnson, Debbie and Clint, Neal Johnson, Don Harmon and Earl Harmon of Avoca were Sunday evening lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. East Line Lassies EAGLE (Special) The East Line Lassies 4-H Club met at Jayne Reed's home March 10. The girls learned how to cut woven and print materials. Woman's Club at Weeping Water Elects Officers WEEPING WATER (Special) The Weeping Water Women's Club met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Esther Teftt with 12 members present. Richard Elli ott played a piano solo before the business meeting. Mrs. Henry Knaup gave a les son on an explanation of the Peace Corps and the many op portunities it offers for service in all parts of the world. It was reported at the meeting that $50 had been given to the Library from the Food Sale in February. It was announced that the stntp reinvention will be held in Omaha on April 9, 10, 11 at the Fontenelle Hotel. McKclvey, at that city and to be, at the bedside of her mo ther, 76, who had undergone a leg amputetion. She has suffer ed 4 years, with a diabetic con dition. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rcynoldson received word of the death of her uncle, Mr. J. O. Henniger at York. Funeral was Tuesday. Mr. Reynoldson was on honorary pallbearer. The evening was spent in play ing pinochle. Prizes were won by Mrs. Arthur Barkhurst and Ras mus Lauritzen, Sr. for high; Mrs. Ross Kinton and Arthur Bark hurst for low and Fred Cherry for traveling. A cooperative leiu h was served at the close of i he happy evening. Those attend ing the celebration were Mr. and Mis. Arthur Barkhurst, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cherry, Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Lauritzen, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Wiles, Mrs. Alma Bern er and Lloyd Anson. Mr. Kir.ton is in very good health. He farms on his farm north of Weeping Water, is very active in the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges, attends church faithfully at the Methodist Church in Weeping Water, works part time at a service station in Weeping Water and is always ready and willing to help a fellow-man who needs help. He is cheerful about taking members of the lodges to call on those who are sick. Mr. and Mrs. Kinton attend and take with them other mem bers to the installation of other lodges. He drives his own car and makes many trips to see his i relatives and friends in Shubert, ! Stella, Omaha and Lincoln.
