He is survived 1 by ' his wife Clara (Rathbuni Thomp son, one son, Gerald of Omaha, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Ethel Grice of Litchfield. Memorial services were held in Omaha with burial in the Riverview Cemetery in Louis ville. Mr. Thompson was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Frank Tyo of Louisville. Aid Nurses Fund The Nurses' Loan Fund of the Nebraska Farm Bureau Federa tion women's committee is mak ing possible education for 18 stu dent nurses in Nebraska hospital training centers. A total of 36 girls have received help from the fund since it was started some ten years ago. The "Nurses' Loan FundTtarted with a dormant 4-II Scholarship Fund of $900, which had not been used for a number of years. See ing a need for helping rural girls to obtain nurses' training, the women's committee recommend ed that the board of directors take action to use the scholarship fund as the basis of a new self renewing loan fund for nurse trainees. Students borrowing from the fund are required to repay the loan with a small in terest to cover costs of admini stration. Counties which have made large donations include Cass, $414.54.
