In completing the history of plip-ht, Mllf firnvp shp pxnlalnsT that by 1890 the Grove's popula -tion had dwindled to 20. Sam Miller had taken over the post office which was completely dis posed of in 1893. v The railroad had already been laid through Murray and the Jenkins and others moved there leaving only the church and the schoolhouse to call back memor ies of the good old days when the Grove rocked with life. In 1935 the church was sold and so down came the last vestige of life at Eight Mile Grove. Its people have moved away. Its families are spread all over this county and many others be sides but deep in their hearts many of them, like Mrs. Spang ler, look lovingly back on mem ories of home in Eight Mile Grove, a thriving town tied by a busy stage route to Plattsmouth. The Christmas program under the direction of Marge Willis as sisted by Ruth Porter was im mensley enjoyed by the group. Children of Veterans, Junior Auxiliary unit, and the mixed chorus of Veterans and Auxiliary members, presented the enter tainment. Mrs. Sue Titus Dies in Morocco Word was received from Morocr co of the death of Mrs. Sue Titus, wife of T-Sgt Ray S. Titus. ;. She died Dec. 10 in Morocco following a stroke.
