Tiedeman Baier-Tiedeman Wedding At Weeping Water Church Decorated In yellow and white roses and lighted candles, the Methodist Church of Weeping Water was the setting for the marriage of Miss Doris Rosanna Baler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth O. Baler of Murdock to Earl J. Tiedeman son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tiedeman of Hick man. Rev. C. F. Weldman of Oak land officiated at a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony Oct. 22. Mrs. Richard Lauritzen was solo ist. Mrs. John Groesser was or ' ganlst. The bride chose a gown of tra ditional white of silk Bombazine and hand clipped chantllly lace. Natural scallops of the lace, en hanced with pearls and irldes cents, framed the sabrina neck line of the lace basque which wa3 designed 'with long sleeves tap ered to bridal points. The appli que sprinkled skirt of Bombazine with lace edging was lifted at the front revealing a petticoat of scalloped lace. A cascade of lace edged Bombazine tiers swept to a chapel train. A scalloped Queen's crown of jeweled lace and pleated tulle caught her fingertip veil of French Bridal illusion. Her only jewelry was a dia mond over cultured pearl on a silver chain, a gift of the bride groom. She carried white roses centered with a white orchid on a lace and tulle covered Bible edged with pearls. Mrs. Terry J. Jones, Lincoln was matron of honor, sister of the bride. She wore a street length sheath of yellow silk or ganza over( taffeta with a match ing lace 'overskirt; matching headpiece, shoes and a pearl necklace, gift of the bride. Her bouquet was of white roses with yellow ribbon. Martha Rose Edgmon, Harri son, Ark., cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Bridesmatrons were Mmes. Harry Ziegenbeln of Grand Is land and Steven Vickich of Lin coln. They wore alike street length sheaths of lilac silk or ganza over taffeta with match ing lace overskirts, and match ing headoieces and shoes and pearl necklaces, a gift of the bride. They carried bouquets oi yellow roses with lilac ribbons. Flower grlrl was Shirley Oos ting of Lincoln, niece of the bridegroom. Serving as best man was Mr. Terry J. Jones, Lincoln, brother-in-law of the bride. Groomsmen were Donald Tiedeman of Firth; Lloyd Tiedeman of Hickman, brothers of bridegroom and James Baier of Ft. Smith, Ark., uncle of the bride. Rlngbearer was Gregg Beh rends, nephew of the bride groom. Merle Oostlng, Lincoln, and Earl Behrends of Hickman, brother-in-laws of the bride groom seated the guests. Karen Cappen of Weeping Water and Minnie Edgmon Har rison, Ark., cousins of the bride were candlellghters. At the guest book was Mrs. Lloyd Tiedeman. The reception was held Im mediately following the cere mony in the church parlors. The serving table was centered with a four-tiered wedding cake, trimmed with yellow and white roses and lilac decorations. Mrs. Merle Oostlng cut the wedding cake, Mrs. John'Nichol poured coffee, Mrs. John Baler Jr. served ice cream, Mrs. Earl Behrends presided at the punch table, Mrs. Donald Tiedeman also assisted in serving as did la dies of WSCS of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Dwight Rector and Mrs. Oswald Baier assisted with the gifts. The bride's mother chose a two-piece sheath of beige bro cade and cocoa brown accessor ies, a corsage of white roses. The bridegroom's mother chose a navy blue crepe and black accessories, a corsage of white roses. Out of town guests attending the wedding were from Harrison, Ark., Tulsa, Okla., Ft. Smith Ark., Burwell, York, Raymond, Omaha, Firth, Hickman, Avoca: Elmwood, Murdock, Wabash, Unadilla, Burchard, Oakland Papillion, Ralston and Adams. Thursday afternoon guests of Lulu Wolfe were her cousins, Lester Shrader of Weeping Wat er and George Shrader of Den ver, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Young and family, Mr. Howard Hutchman, and Mrs. Alta Young of Murray and Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Humann and family of Wichita, Kansas attended a wedding for Dorothy Moore and Richard Schwers Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Ma cedonia, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Humann and family are spending a week at the Alta Young home. Tuesday evening Halloween guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson and family were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mrasek and Nancy. Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Van Ac kern were Monday evening sup per guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Van Ackern celebrating Ronnie's 23rd birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Urwin and family were Monday eve ning quests of Mr. and Mrs. Clif ford Cooper of Weeping Water. Dr. R. W. Tyson attended the Midwest Medic Clinic in Oma ha last week. The group went on a scavenger hunt. They then returned to the church where several games were enjoyed and refreshments were served. The Murray Grade School held a party on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barr and family spent a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Evert Barr at Liberty, Nebraska. The Cedar Creek Ladles Aid meet at the home of Mrs. Joe Barr on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Bell and family were Sunday evening sup per guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Sack of Omaha. Tuesday evening guests of Mrs. Ruth Buffington were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Tllson and boys and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Buff ington and Christie. Wednesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Farris were Carrie Adams and Mr. Larry Ellingston. Mr.' and Mrs. Herman , L. Maasen returned home from a two-weeks vacation trip to Jef ferson City, Mo., and surround ing communities. While in Mis souri they attended the Maasen Jaegers family reunion which was held at the home of Mrs. Maasen's nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jaegers and family of Linn, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mason of Wathena, Kan., are here to spend a few days with Mrs. Mae Blunt and Carolyn. Mrs. Mason Is a niece of Mrs. Blunt. Dean Morrison left, today for Waterbury, Conn., where he has transferred Irom Omaha with his company, the Vickers, Inc. Mr. Morrison wi.l be the budget director for this company in Waterbury. He hopes to return at Thanksgiving tfme for his family here. Mrs. Paul Sailors and Mrs. Ro bert Williams are attending the Harvest Fashion School of In struction at the Fontenelle Hotel iq Omaha Monday and Tuesday, in the Interest of The Beauty Box. Alvin Smock' entered the Vet erans Hospital in Omaha Satur day night and will undergo treatment. He Is In room NE 807. Mrs. Walter Hell is a patient at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. She is in room 833. After undergoing surgery last Tues day, she Is getting along quite well and is expected home soon. Members of the 40 & 8 attend ed the Tri-county Wreck in Au burn Sunday. The Cass County Volture had charge of the Third Degree. Attending were Dr. P. T. Heineman, Wm. Schmldtmann, Fred Herbster, Eugene Krings, Albert Olson, Orvllle Julian, Art Warga, Joe Zastera, Merle D. Meisinger, Don Warga, Platts mouth and Albert Inman of Louisville. Frank Wood, former Platts mouth resident, died at the York Hospital Sunday. Funeral ar rangements are pending. Paul Lemke of Oakland, Calif, is on a visit here at the home of Minnie Guthmann. i'. 1 i Mrs. Marvin Balfour Helen Karen Mather Weds Mr. Balfour At Weeping Water WEEPING WATER (Special) The First Methodist church In Weeping Water was the scene of the candlelight wedding cere- morv of Miss Helen Karen Math er, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Mather of Weeping Water and Marvin Balfour, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Balfour of Dunbar. Rev. Staley Hackley, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar flanked with two large baskets of yellow gladiolus and yellow and bronze mums and pom poms. . Mrs. S. H. Harmon of Weeping Water, organist, accompanied Sharon Stock of Weeping Water who sang, "O, Promise Me" and "The Lord's Prayer." Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a chiffon taffeta gown. The fitted bodice was designed with a jeweled chantilly lace yoke with a scal loped collar and long fitted sleeves. A garland of jeweled lace trimmed the front of the full skirt that flowed into a chapel train in back. The bride's shoulder length veil was held is place by a crown of pearls and irridescent sequins. Miss Linda Parson of Lincoln was the Maid of Honor. Mrs. Larry Brammier of Weeping Water, Mrs. Duane Gansemer of Louisville and Mrs. Larry Khorr of Lincoln were bridesmaids. They wore street length dresses of lemon-Ice cotton. The dresses had a fitted bodice with a slightly scoop neckline. The skirts fell into impressed pleats. The white nylon lace covered belts were emphasized with tiny pearls in the center of each flow er of lace. They had dyed to match lemon-ice colored shoes Their hats were made of yellow velvet accented with tiny pearls They carried white Bibles topped oho Mrs. Wilion Howe Mrs. Ralph Snavely's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Graves of Lincoln vt lted at the Snavely home Sat urday. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ral ph Snavely were with Mr. and Mrs. Graves at Lincoln celebrat ing Mrs. Graves birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Howe and family were dinner guests of Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Backemeyer, Sunday, celebrating the birth days of Mrs. Jerry Backemeyer of Milford-and Marva Howe. La Von Howe of Cedar Rapids, was at her parents home from Wednesday evening until Sun- with yellow carnations and bronze pom-poms. Best man was Larry Bram mier of Weeping Water. Grooms men were Roger Fry of Dunbar, Ronald Lowery and David Teten of Dunbar. The ushers were'Lani Lanker of Dunbar and Ted Sny der of Nehawka. Flower girls were Fonda Mather, sister of the bride and Denelse Mather, niece of the bride. They wore dresses of lemon-Ice cotton nylon lace and pearls, and carried small baskets of rose petals. Candle lighters were Judy Balfour, sis ter of the groom and Wyman Mather, brother of the bride. Her dress and shoes were Identical to the bridesmaids. Judy Domingo of Weeping Water was in charge of the guest book. Velda Lee, Kay Clark and Alice Lauritzen of Weeping Water were in charge of the gifts. A reception was held following the ceremony In the church par lors. Mrs. Herman Aronson cut the wedding cake and Mrs. Wil bur Clark served the cake.- Mrs. Walter Busch poured the coffee and Bonnie Noble served the punch. Servers at the reception were Susan Balfour, Carol Bal four and Beverly Balfour of Ne hawka. Also' assisting with the reception were Mrs. Alvin Groesser, Mrs. Byron Baker, Mrs. Francis Thoren, Mrs. Rich ard Lauritzen, Mrs. Cloyd Boyd ston and Mrs. Vincent Rehmelr. The bride chose as her going away ensemble a beige tailored dress with caramel and gold as sessories. The date chosen by the bride was also her mother's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Hill were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rieke. An organization meeting was held at the Church basement Saturday evening to reorganize the Boy Scouts at Alvo. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clary at Garden City, Mo., and together they took tours. The Kellers also attended the Fall Festival in, Eureka Springs. Mr. and Mrs. George Barnman looked after things during Mr. and Mrs. Kellers absence. Mrs. A, W. Rau returned home Tuesday after an extended visit at the home of her daughter Mrs. George Gage, Mr. Gage and family at Dunning. Anomer daughter, Mrs. Walter Kerst and Mr. Kerst of Alliance were also guests at the Gage home. Mr. Rau and Mrs. Leland Krecklow and children went to Dunning; and brought Mrs. Rau home. Roger Hammer suffered an. injured knee in the Ashland. Blair football game. It is now in' a cast, he will be unable to con tinue in the games.
