Melsinger son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mei t inger of Louisville were married Oct. 28 at Christ Lutheran Church near Louisville. Dr. A. B. Lentz performed the seven o'clock ceremony with members of the Immediate fam ilies and close friends attending. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schliefert of Louisville were the couple's attendents. The meeting was opened by the president, Mrs. Earl Albert. Fifteen mem bers and two guests were pre sent. Roll call was answered by naming some "Trick or Treat Pranks." The meeting closed by everyone repeating the "Lord's Prayer." Pinochle was played the re mainder of the afternoon with Mrs. Mabel Ingram, winning high and Mrs. Hazelle Ingram winning low. The club has 20 members of which six are new. New members are Carol Cole, Janice Cole, Linda Bnell. Vicki Molck. Janell Jacobs and Jo Ann Jacobs. Each member selected her projects. Mynard WSWS WSWS of the Mynard Evangel ical United Brethren Church held its November meeting in the church parlors with Mrs. Robert Cole and Mrs. Arthur Toman, co-hostesses. The lesson "The Church in Larger Dimensions" was present ed by Mrs. Glen Wetenkamp and Mrs. Myron Wiles. - A special thank-offering serv ice was also held, members pre senting thank-offering boxes and offering a prayer. The busines meeting was led by the president, Mrs. Thomas Orosshans. .., Mrs. Willis Cple, local activities chairman; reported various' pro jects which the group will under take. A hake sale will be held Nov. 18 at Swatek Hardware. Church housecleaning day has been set for Nov. 24. Guest day will be held Nov. 30. Mrs. Robert Cole Is chairman of the program committee. Mrs. Fred Arnold reported a dozen school bags were made and filled with school supplies to be presented at the World Com munity Day service. ( , y k A , - r Mrs. James .1 Mary Joe Reihart Weds James Colbert at Louisville LOUISVILLE (Special) The Immanuel Lutheran Church near Louisville was the scene of the wedding of Miss Mary Jo Reihart and James ,WV Cplbsrt on Ocl;. 28 at 7 p.m. Parents of 'the couple are Mr. and Mrs! ! Marion Reihart of Louisville and Mr', and Mrs. Lloyd W. Colbert of Weeping Water. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Theodore Vogel before an altar decorated with large baskets of white poms and white chrysanthemums. There were white ribbon bows with greenery on the pews on both sides of the aisle. Nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Le Roy Jochim, organist, and Mr. Christian Stohlmann, soloist. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, chose a floor length gown of velveteen and Venice lace. The sculptured bodice and bracelet sleeves fea tured a wide band of the import ed lace. A slim sheathe skirt was topped by a redingote banded with the Venice lace. A floor length detachable cape of im ported (French re-embroidered. Alencon face was fastened tpthe portrait Neckline. Her headpiece was a small velevteen pillbox topped with a ro:e to which shoulder length French Alencon lace was gathered. Her bouquet was a large cluster of white gardenias with stephanotis. Mrs. James Moeller of East Hampton, Long Island, New York was Matron of Honor. She wore a floor length gown of Ameythst velveteen with matching shoes. Her headpiece, made similar to the bride's was a pillbox of mat ching velevteen to which a short veil of matching lace was gath ered. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids were Miss Sue Gavit of Pierce and Mr. Ken neth Winklehake of Weeping Water. Thier gowns of linden green velveteen and their head pieces of matching color were made identical to that of the matron of honor. They carried bouquets of white mums. , The bridegroom was attended by his twin brother,' Robert Col bert of Lincoln, as best man. Gary McDonald of Omaha and Raymond Horn of Weeping Wa ter served as ushers. They all wore black formal suits and their boutonnieres were white carna tions. The groom wore a spray of bouquet. The mother of the bride chose a garnet velevteen gown with matching accessories. The bride groom's mother wore a brown wool gown with matching aces ories. Both wore corages of white gardenias. Following the ceremony, a re ception for 250 guests was held in the church parlors with the Ladies Aid in charge. Mrs. A. F. Daub of Bismarck, North Dakota, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. C. A. Waitresses were the Misses Shirley Hennings, Elaine Terryberry and Anita Glaze brook. Mrs. Leon Bond and Mrs. Glen Terryberry were in charge of the gifts assisted by Mary Lou Retzloff of Lincoln and Miss Grace Gavit of Pierce. Mrs. Gordon Theissen of South Bend had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Colbert is a graduate of the Louisville Public Schools and the University of Nebraska and is Home Economics Instructor at Pierce, Nebraska. Mr. Colbert attended the Uni versity of Nebraska and is atten ding Wayne State College. Other outstate guests besides t those, taking part in te -wedd ing were Mr. ana Mrs. Myron Moeller and Gary Moeller of Ames, Iowa, Mr. Arthur Daub of Bismarck, North Dakota and Mr and Mrs. L. E. Family Dinners Honor Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wiles g A family get-together was held Saturday evening, Oct. 28, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Wiles at Avoca in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wiles before their departure for their home in Ocola, Fla. .. Relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Louie Beckman, Coun cil Bluffs, Iowa; and Edd Wiles and Fredia of Union; Mrs. Doris Morgan, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Jones and family, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thorns and Marvin, Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Ballinger, Plattsmouth; Mrs. Bessie Tilson and John of Mur ray. Evening meal was enjoyed by all. Afterward, visiting and picture-taking made up the evening entertainment. All had an enjoyable time with well wishes for a safe journey home for the Wiles couple. On Sunday, Oct. 29 a farewell dinner was enjoyed by family and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wiles, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Ballinger In honor of their departure. The couple had been visiting here for two months. ' She received many gifts, there were about 5 in attendance. Wedding In Bluffs Of Interest Here Miss Roberta Ann Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee James Morris and Mr. John V. Beckman, son of Mr. and Mrs Louis Beckman, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa, were united in mar riage Oct. 20, 7:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in that city. Shower Honors Janet Friedrich Janet Friedrich was honored at a miscellaneous shower at Christ Lutheran Church Oct. 29. Large bouquets of fall flowers and roses decorated the base ment. Miss Friedrich; her moth er, Mrs. Verner Friedrich; her grandmother, Mrs. Anna Kraeg er; her fiance's mother, Mrs. Alvln Melsinger, and his grand mother, Mrs. Anna Melsinger, all wore mum corsages made by Linda Engelkemeier. Marlene and Margie Shafer sang, accompanied by their mother, Mrs. John Shafer. Joyce Puis played piano solos. .Linda Martin sang, accompanied by her sister, Norma Martin. Mrs. Louis Wagner baked and decorated the cakes in fall colors with miniature bridal bells dec orating each portion. Promenaders Masquerade Monday evening the local Promenaders held a masquerade dance for the new class mem bers, along with their regular scheduled square dance lesson. r Six squares, of , unf amiliac nd dress' enteredthe Lion; and dress enteredthe Lions Hall which became a ghost like castle of the unknown. '' At the stroke of ten on the village clock a magic spell seem to cast throughout the room. Faces once unknown turned to well known friends. The magic words of pumpkin pie and coffee ended the evenings lessons. Prizes during the evening were won by Mary Lou Born, Dick Royer, Henry Vinduska, Donna Harder, Glen Eaton, Don Eisen barth, Katherine Hobscheldt and Mrs. H. Vinduska. The regular dance of Platts mouth Promenaders will be at the Lions Hall Friday,, Nov. 3. Officers of the Promenaders Square Dance Club met at the home of Vyrl and Lucille Clark Thursday evening with the newly elected officers who will take their offices Dec. 1. On Thursday, Oct. 26, we had our Halloween p a r t y at our leader's home. We enioved a welner roast and scavenger hunt also. Some of the girls came In costume, which added more fun to the party. Her veil of Illusion was caught by a jewelled crown. The bride carried a colonial bouquet of red roses and feath ered carnations. Connie Cook of Union was maid of honor. Mrs. Delbert Lindsey of Union made the wedding cake on which pink roses were arranged, accented by a white background frosting designed in various shapes. The bride is a 1961 graduate of Nehawka High School. , The bridegroom attended schools in Minnesota and is employed at St. Mary's Hospital, Nebraska City.
