A silver dollar was given to the oldest, being Dave Startzer Springfield and the youngest being Shawn Holschar, Bellevue. The one coming the farthest, Mrs. Grace Witt of Greshen. Nebr. The reunion will be held at Greshen next year, so reports Mrs. W. E. Holschar. Mr. and Mrs. Burt Worthan and Allen, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noell, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Lancaster were callers at the Harold Rice home Saturday evening to discuss plans for a float for the Friday's parade at the KKK. Eagle Methodist Church Notes EAGLE (Special) The Eagle Methodist congregation heard the message. "Worthy of Our Vocation," by Dr. Harold Sand all Sunday. Dr. Sandall con ducted the worship service, as sisted by Rev. Robert Turner oi Lincoln who will preach Sept. 24. Promotion cards will be given church school students Sunday. Several members of the WSCS have been busy at the parsonage readying it for resident pastor Rev. Turner, wife and young son, Lincoln, who will move in soon. Rev. Turner was recently ap proved by the official boards and congregation. Sharon Donlan and Beverly Ronhovde, entered Peru College this year. Beverly transferred from the University of Nebras ka. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Muenchau accompanied friends of Lincoln to Lake Okaboji, Iowa on a re cent weekend for an enjoyable outing and vacation. Several Eagle folks attended funeral services for Mrs. Fred Reuter, at the Alvo Methodist Church Thursday afternoon. Her daughter and family, the Billy Stilwell's resided at Eagle, prior to their move to Omaha. Mr. Melvin Adams, Eagle and Mrs. Averill Gartner of Unadilla, sang and Mrs. John Fischer of Eagle, organ accompanist. ' The Eagle WSCS committee served lunch at the Frank Froh lich farm equipment sale Thurs day. Supt. and Mrs. C. E. Seevers and family of Waverly called at the home of her sister and hus band, Supt. and Mrs. Paul Em bree and family, Sunday after noon. The "Farmaraires" quartette, practiced at the John Ronhovde home Wednesday evening, for their presentation at the Cotner Terrace Sunday afternoon, at Lincoln for the Nance County ASC meeting. Mr. -and Mrs. John Ronhovde Jr. and family attended the "Open House" at the Presby terian Church in Hickman, Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Trunk enholz, have been making fre quent visits at the Bryan Mem orial Hospital, for her mother, Mrs. Don Hill, Lincoln, who suf fered a heart attack, Sunday morning and taken to the hospi tal, via ambulance. She was some improved at this writing Arthur Reitter of California, formerly of Eagle, called on friends at Eagle recently. He had accompanied his son to Lin coln, where the latter entered the Medical School, at University of Nebraska, his grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Ryerson reside at Lincoln. Mrs. A. H. Siekman called at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia Palin, at Lincoln last Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Emile Barrv. of Alvin, Texas, have been visiting; his sister and husband Mr. and' Mrs. Carl Johnson, Sr. and other ' relatives at Alvo, for a few weeks. They returned to their home, Wednesday. Their daugh- i ter had called via telephone of the disturbing hurricane in that area, and the parents were anx ious to return, to their posses sions. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shumak-' er and son, Lonnie, of Weeping ! Water, Nebr., called at the home of her mother, Mrs. George , Trunkenholz, Saturday evening Lonnie has registered for enter-j ing the University of Nebraska this year after serving in the U. S. Air Force. MICE TOO Stamford, N. Y. To say the least, Mrs. AI Conklin got a sur prise when she turned on her television set and a streak of fire shot out. She telephoned the TV repair man, who turned out to be the mayor of the village. The Mayor removed the back of the set and found the remains of a mouse that had been calmly munching peanuts before Mrs. Conklin turned on the set. Mrs. Leonard Vaughn received word Wednesday afternoon that her uncle, John Gillin of Lorton had passed away that afternoon at his home with a heart attack. He is also the brother-in-law of Henry Doermann. Funeral ser vices have been set for Monday, September 11. Mrs. Fred Brammer and daughters, Sharon and Florence left early Wednesday morning to return to their home in Bur bank, California after spending three weeks visiting hnr mother, Mrs. George Vogler, Sr.. and other relatives in Louisville. Weeping Water Mrs. Edward Van Horn en tered the Bryan Memorial Hos pital on Sunday afternoon and underwent major surgery on Monday morning. She will be in the hospital for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Patton Lisa and Lauri of Anaheim. Calif., arrived Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Patton and Ruth Ann. They went on to Toledo, Ohio to attend fu neral services for Mrs. Wayne Patton's parents, Rev. and Mrs. M. F. Frye of Jefferson City Mo., and her aunt and unc le who were killed in an automobile ac cident while on a trip to the Ozarks.
