Todd Phone 2441 Mr. and Mrs. Don Wolfe and Jan, Mary and Lisa returned last Monday from a week's va cation at Nisswa, Minnesota, where they were guests of a sis ter of Mrs. Wolfe, Mr. and Mrs. John Palmer. Accompanying them was a nephew Tommy Mc Quin of Long Beach, who has been visiting relatives in Union, Plattsmouth, Nebraska City and Underwood, Iowa. After these vacationers left Minnesota, they drove to Missouri, where they visited Mr .and Mrs. Ben Niel, parents of Mrs. Wolfe. Tommy McJuin returned to his home in California. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Morris drove to Omaha Sunday and brought a brother of Mrs. Mor ris, who has been in the Univer sity Hospital for some time, to Nebraska City. They also visited Mrs. Myra Hathaway who is also hospitalized in an Omaha Hos pital. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Stine and daughters last Sun day were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles James and family of Council Bluffs and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cross and Miss Iva Mougey. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Ackley and hompaoois f J family drove to Mead, Nebraska recently, accompanied by Mrs. Ackley's mother, Mrs. Johnson. When they returned they brought Darlene and Linda Johnson ol Mead home with them for a few days visit in Union. Later in the week they took the little girls to their home and as they returned to Union, they stopped at Louis ville where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Keith Henry, former Union residents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zorn and Mrs. Sarah Rich and daughters Irene and Iola left last Friday for Mead, Colorado, where they will be guests of Mrs. Rich's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Schaefer and son Lowell. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mougey and daughter Mary Joe are va cationing in the Black Hills for a few days and then on Sunday they expected to be at Mead Colorado, where they would join the Rich and Zorn families at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rus sell Schaefer. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cross re turned last Friday evening from a week's visit in Colorado, where tney visited their daughter, Mrs. J. Oscar Smith and family in Stratton, Colorado. While there they attended the wedding of a niece; Lo Juana Cross at Arriba, Colorado, and also visited at the home of Mrs. Ray Cross In Gler.wood Springs, Colorado, on the western slope. They were ac companied by Iva Mougey and two granddaughters, Cathy and Ellen Stine. Piano Recital Given at Union UNION (Special) The fol lowing piano students of Ora Guerra were heard in a piano recital at the Methodht Church in Union: Ann Kendall, Joyce -ocnanot, Carol Klein, Cayle Redden, Di anne Hoback, Kenneth Redden, Terry Haffner, Linda Foster, Karen Ackley and Linda Nobles. Mrs. James Attebery sang a solo. drove to Seward last Saturday where they attended a "Comer Family Reunion" with thirty relatives in attendance. A picnic dinner was enjoyed on Sunday. The Comers returned to Union on Monday. Mrs. Lewis Mougey drove to Bellevue last Sunday where she was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John McQuin and family. They all visited little Kenny Mougey in Omaha in the afternoon. Mrs. L. G. Todd attended the wedding of her granddaughter, Miss Nancy Todd at Plattsmouth Aug. 6. After the wedding she accompanied Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Rathe and Mr. and Mrs. Nor man Hendrix and family to Omaha where she was their house euest for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Rathe brought her home on last Sunday evening. An Ice cream supper is sched uled at the Methodist Church Friday evening by the Woman's Society of Christian Service. v . , can 1 Hayride, Dancing Party at Murray MURRAY (Special A group of young people, former 8th grade students, met at the home of Janet Gansemer Sunday eve ning. They all enjoyed a hayride then returned to the Oansemor home for dancing and refresh ments. Those present were, Ginger Vest, Carol Coliins, Bobbi Cus ter, Carol Faris, Norma Martin. Leann Sayers Honored On 2nd Birthday MURRAY (Special) Sunday evening a picnic supper at the Havely Sayers home honored little Leann Sayers on her second birthday. Those present to heln her cele brate were., Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hosehar and Dana. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Savers ar.d Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Savers, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gerries of Union and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gerdes of Nebraska City.
