CITY OF PLATTSMOUTH, NEBRASKA NOTICE OF CREATION OF STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 159 PUBLIC NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Mayor and City Coun cil of the City of Plattsmouth, Nebraska have passed, approved and published Ordinance No. 1013 creating Street improve ment District No. 159, which provides for the improvement of the following streets in said District, to-wit: SCOTT STREET from the southeast line of Patterson Avenue to Debra Street, and DEBRA STREET from the . east line of Chicago Avenue to the intersection of said Debra Street with Scott Street, all of ROGERS CIR CLE, including the street portion leading thereto from Scott Street, and PATTER SON AVENUE from Its in tersection with Chicago Avenue to its intersection with Clinton Street together with all included intersec tions. The said improvements shall consist of grading, paving, curb ing, guttering and such other work as may be incidental thereto in accordance with plans and specifications to be pre pared by Lamp, Rynearson & Associates, Special Engineer, employed by the City, and to be approved by the City Council. Said improvements shall be made at public cost, but the City will levy special assess ments on the property within the District especially benefited thereby proportionate to the benefits. If the owners of the record title representing more than fifty percent of the foot front age of the property abutting or adjoining the streets to be Im proved In the District shall file with the City Clerk within twen ty (20) days after the first pub lication of this notice written objections to the ordnance creating said district, said im provements shall not be made and the ordinance creating the said district shall be repealed. If said objections are not filed in the tme and manner afore said, the governing body shall forthwith cause the work to be done and such improvements to be made in said district. No. 20 were presented C. E. Mark ham, Engineer for the Bd. of Public Works, was present and recommended some changes in the plans and specifications. Motion carried to advertise for bids for the construction of im provements in S.S. Dist. No. 20, subject to the approval of the Bd. of Public Works, on June 29, July 6 and July 13, 1961, bids to be opened at 7:30 p.m. on July 14, 1961. Motion carried that City At torney be instructed to prepare an ordinance for the creation of a St. Imp. Dist. for the paving of Sixteenth St., from Pearl St., also known as First Ave., to Granite St., also known as Sec ond Ave., and Granite St., also known as Second Ave. from Six teenth St. to Fifteenth St. to gether with all included inter sections. Permission was granted to L. B. Topliff as per his request to excavate in North 15th St. for sanitary sewer service to the property of George Pohlmeier, subject to requirements. Permission was granted as re quested by L. B. Topliff to cut the pavement in Clinton St. and excavate for sanitary sewer ser vice to the property of Orval Kahler subject to requirements. Motion carried to accept the report of the Police Judge for the weeks ending June 17 & June 24, 1961 and place same on file. Motion carried to accept the report of the Parking Meter collections for the weeks end ing June 19th & June 26th, 1961 as beinp $217.00 and $214.00 re spectively.
