1 ry Trail Riders 4-H NEHAWKA (Special) Eight members of the Trail Riders 4-H Club rode their horses to the Ted Brannon farm near Union and went for a trail ride with their leaders, Jake Stapert and Ted Brannon Jr. Sunday. Camp Kitaki honoring the senior class of 1961. After the supper the class en Joyed games, singing and danc ing. Faculty guests present were Supt. and Mrs. Jack Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Mulnix, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Knox, Mr. and Mrs. Rod ney Bender, and Donald Tiet ,en. Rev. and Mrs. William Mc Cord were also present. Hostesses for the dinner party were Mmes. Vesta Welch. Char lotte Stander, June Hendrix, Zelma Sutton, Kathryn Mis inger, Dorothy Heard, Margaret Worthman and Esther Tlustos. The boys did succeed in getting the kites up late in the after noon after waiting a long time for a breeze. Several of the boys received awards. Richard Stone received the wolf badge, lion badge and the gold and silver arrows for the lion rank; Richard Fornoff, gold and silver arrow for the wolf rank; Roger Brandt, gold arrow for the bear rank. In Thursday's issue an article gave a name as Mrs. Robert Plybon, pertaining to the death of her father. This name was incorrect. The news item should have read: Earl Record died Saturday, April 29, at Tabor, la., and was buried Mav 2 at Sidney. He was the father of Mrs. Robert Piper. Mrs. C. M. Green left yester day for Whichita, Kans., to visit a few days with her daughter and grandson. She went by way of bus. James Ulrich Took Architecture Tour James Ulrich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ulrich of Louisville, was one of 29 University of Ne braska architectural students who toured the Chicago area May 3-8 on an annual senior class inspection tour. Cit es visited were cnicago, Racine, Spring Green and Madi son in Wisconsin, where they studied the works of f r a n k Lloyd Wright, Louis Sullivan and Milps Vanderrohe.
