Haase and moved there Satur day. Their telephone number is 4-8589. Mrs. Haase and Donald moved into the new home they had built in Wavcrly. Mr. and Mrs. James Carson and family moved from south of Murdock to the L. J. Roeber farm just vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Haase. Carsons telephone number is 4-8173. Gene Grimm arrived in Oma ha via plane Friday evening, he had been in military flight train ing in Texas the past three months. Mrs. Grimm and chil dren met him in Omaha that evening. Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Laughlin and sons spent last Sunday with M!r. and Mrs. John Wilbur Laughlin and little daughter In Shenandoah, Iowa. She is doing nicely and will be home soon. Fred Stickney was in Lincoln General hospital in Lincoln a part of last week, taking treat ments Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bower called on him Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong returned home Monday night from a week's trip into Arkan sas. They visited their daughter, Mrs. Harold Shaw, Mr. Shaw and sons in Jonesboro also Mrs. Maggie Shaw in Jonesboro. They called at the Eugene Holman home in Harrison, Arkansas. Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gaudreault had dinner Friday at the Malvin Wiles home. Afternoon callers were Mrs. LiDyd Scott and Mrs. Elmer Buck.' Mr. and Mrs. Oren Kolb, Mari lyn and Charlcne drove to Far ragut, Iowa Sunday and visited with Mr. Kolb's sister Mable, Mrs. Ray Browning and family. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bryant and daughters of Council Bluffs were Saturday night and Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bachman and Mrs. Emma Jones Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bachman spent Sunday evening there. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Erickson and Nadine spent Sunday after noon with Mrs. Erickson's mo ther, Mrs. Harm Slote in Hick man. Mr. and Mrs. John Fox were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. C. H. Connor at Gretna, they had supper at the John Snell home near Gretna. " Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Dean of Lincoln spent Wednesday after noon with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong. Ice cream and cake was served in observance of Mrs. Armstrong's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sturm and their grandson, Billy Reece spent Sunday with Mrs. Strum's father, H. W. Mrs. Stella McLaughlin, Mrs. Merlin Peterson and children and Howard McLaughlin all of Elmwood were Friday afternoon visitors at the Art Box home. John Box and Francis Peterson of Elmwood called there Wed nesday afternoon. Mrs. Edrie Wiles of Nebraska City spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Wiles and Ter ry. Mrs. Roy Wepf and Roger of Nebraska City called there in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong attended the funeral service for George Laudenschlager of Oak land in Wahoo Saturday after noon. The Laudenschlager and Armstrong families were long time neighbors in the old Plain view vicinity north of Memphis, now a part of the Nebraska Ord nance Plant. After burial service at Sunrise cemetery near Wahoo a lunch was served at Memorial Hall in Wahoo for the family and their many old time neigh bors. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ham mer, Jimmy and Mike of Lin coln were Sunday afternoon vis itors at the Karl Hammer home. Mrs. Malvin Wiles, Mrs. Eli Gaudreault, Mrs. Lloyd Scott and Mrs. Elmer Buck attended the Christmas flower show in the Federal Building in Lincoln Sunday. Mrs. Scott wag one of the judges. Mrs. Vyrl Livers and Mrs. Harold Richards were Saturday afternoon callers at the Ray mond Nelson home. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jones were evening visitors there. Mrs. Henry Leikam and Mrs. George Harris and family of Lincoln spent Tuesday with Mrs. Arthur Laughlin and sons. Dick and Jack Watson spent Friday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mansfield, the boys parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyndall Watson came for them in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kra jicek and family of Gretna spent Friday evening at the Wayne Nissen home. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Styskal spent Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Beeteson.
