Roll call was answered by "different ways to serve appl es". A music period was enjoy ed by singing several patriotic songs. The club reader held a quiz on former presidents. We are glad to say Mrs. Olson has recovered nicely from a recent illness. PTA at Nehawka Hears Talk about Juvenile Court NEHAWKA (Special) Mr. K. Patrick Okura, chief proba tion officer of the juvenile court of Douglas County, spoke to members of the PTA Thursday evening at the school auditor ium. He told the aims of the court and stressed the need of a juv enile judge who is interested in children. Douglas and Lancaster counties are the only two eligib le to elect juvenile judge and voters in those two counties will vote on this in November. Mr. Okura told of specific cases handled by the court which were very interesting. Mrs. Robert Wunderlich, pro gram chairman, introduced Mr. Okura. He has a bachelor and mastors degree from U.C.L.A. and has worked at Boys Town for seventeen years. He asked for a standing vote against amendment 301 which asks .that the state board of ed ucation be abolished. Mrs. Dwi ght Cook gave a report of the re cent district PTA meeting at Plattsmouth. She distributed lit erature on 301. The first grade won the banner and book for having the most parents present.
