She enter ed St. Elizabeth Hospital In Lincoln Monday morning for treatments. Mrs. Ercel Block and Mrs. Emma Rutledge visited at the Masonic home in Plattsmouth Wednesday. Bill and John Schlichtemeier took part in the tap dance re cital at the high school audi torium Tuesday evening. Their teacher is Antholee Rizzi. Mrs. Stuart Schlichtemeier has been with her mother, Mrs. Vlolentta Conn, each day the past two weeks. She is hospi talized at St. Elizabeth's in Lin coln with a broken hip. Kathy Wunderlich visited Mrs. Laura Poulos Tuesday. Albert Johnson and sons were guests Friday evening following 8th grade graduation of the Ar- ley Schomakers. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nolte and family attended the confirma tion ceremony at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Omaha and later were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Roberts and family. Sandra Roberts, their niece, was a member of the class. Dale Nutzman took treats to his classmates at Nehawka school Friday when he was nine years old. His birthday dinner guests were Neil Balfour, Bill Mavfield and Wade Nutzman. Bill and Wade stayed overnight. The Ronald Dysarts returned home Sunday and the Stand leys left Monday for home. Vacation Church School will begin June 6 at both churches. Mrs. Lida Clark Born of Hu lett, Wyo.. met many of her old friends Sunday at church, ser vices. She is here to be with her mother, Mrs. Vesta Clark, several days. Mrs. Clark is a patient at St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City. Mrs. Born reports her mother is slowly recovering from serious injury in a fall some time ago at the home of Mrs. Rutledge in Ne hawka. Mrs. Taylor Buck of Sacra mento, Calif., has been a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Comer for a week. Mr. and Mrs. John Moran and family attended the funeral of Mr. Moran's uncle, Oscar Cor nelius of Johnson at Council Bluffs Monday. The annual school closing pic nic at Glendale School was well attended. There were two other picnics at the same time, for Fairview School taught by Mrs. Relchart, and Heil School taught by Mrs. August Stohl man. All had a good turnout. Greenwood Lions Receive Charter GREENWOOD (Special) The Greenwood Lions Club held a charter member banquet at the Greenwood Legion hall May 11; 13 charter members and their wives were present and approximately 70 other guests were there. The Havelock and Bethany Lions Clubs that sponsored the Greenwood club and Ceresco and Murdock clubs were pres ent. Harry Anderson of Millard, district governor of Lions In ternational,' was also present. He presented Harmon Miller, president of the Greenwood club, the charter. Boat Clubs Are Planning Parade On Missouri River National Water Safety Con gress is scheduled to meet in Omaha in June and a great represetation from clubs up and down the Missouri river is an ticipated. E. C. Gunn, regional vice president of the NWSC an nounced this week that he has been contacted by boat clubs in Decatur, .Bellevue, Plattsmouth, Omaha, Nebraska City, Fre mont, Norfolk, Lincoln, Off'utt AFB, Blair and in Iow, Onawa, Missouri Valley and Lake Man awa.
