Favors of gum, suckers and balloons were given the children before they went home. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stratton re trrned home on F'riday evening alter spending the holidays vis iting relatives in California. They were grests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stratton and fam ily at Buena Park and spent Christmas day with them. Carolyn Muhr of Krebs, Okla homa visited for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Upton and family. She left Sunday for Omaha where she is attending college. Other dinner guests on Sunday at the Upton home were Mr. and Mrs. Omer Gottule and family of Fremont. The Cass County Christian Fellowship meeting was held Sunday evening at the Meth odist church in Elmwood. Joe Sterling arrived home by plane from San Francisco, Cali fornia on Wednesday in Omaha. He has been stationed for the past months in Japan. He lias been discharged and is at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Sterling. The Rainbow Girls held their Christmas party on Tuesday evening in the Odd Fellows Hall. Following the regular business meeting a inajority service was held for Roberta Knaup and Henrietta Plliold. The baby weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and has been named Joel Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Wiles are ttifi maternal grand parents.
