NEWS FROM AVOCA Mrs. Henry Maieman Harry Jacobsen, Lester Heeb ncr and Paul Llnhardt held a time party and a shower honor ing Galord Bose, groom elect, Sunday at the home of Robert Kirkhoff In his garage. Mr. Bose and Susan Ehlers chose Dec. 11 at First Lutheran church for the wedding. The Quarter Birthday Club held a cooperative dinner at the home of Mrs. J. E. Aschbacker Wednesday honoring three Nov ember birthdays, Mrs. J. E,. Aeschbacker, Mrs. Seegel and Mrs. Henry Maseman. Crystal Seegel who also has a November birthday was a guest. Mrs. Lynn Rothe gave the missionary les son on "Stewardship in Town and Country Churches". Next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. William Klemme with a luncheon at 12:30 Dec. 3. The Cub Scouts held their pack meeting on Wednesday eve ning in the American Legion Hall. Guests at the meeting were Mrs. John Nichols and Richard, Willard Wlpf and Terry and Mrs. Robert Schlosser and Jim. These boys will become scouts at the next meeting. Each boy, with the help of his dad, is to bring a bird feeder at the next meeting, Nov. 25th.
