Mrs. Wanda Bomer, 65, of Glenwood, Iowa, . former resi dent of Plattsmou'th, died Mon day night of a heart attack at Pacific Junction, Iowa, where she had been operating the tele phone exchange since last spring. She was born July 22, 1894. at Carson, Iowa, daughter of Nellie and Casin Montgomery. Mrs. Bomer was the widow of Lew Bomer who died last Nov ember at Glenwood. They had been farming south of Glenwood since moving from Plattsmouth in 1936. Survivors are four daughters. Norma Chase, Amber StoU, LaRue Mandolft and June Camp bell: her father, Casin Mont gomery. Elm Ci'cel?; sisters, Mrs. William Maas, Elm Creek; Dean Little of Long Beach, Cal if.; brother, Keith Montgomery, Long Beach; six grandsons and two granddaughters. s Funeral will be Frfday at 2 p. m. at the Christian Church at Glenwood. Jessup, 86, native of Mills County, la., died Tuesday at the Hillcrest Nursing Home west of this city where he has been a patient for sometime. Mr. Jessup was born March 8, 1873 in Mills County, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Je:sup, early day residents of that county. He made his home for many years in the Pacific Junction community, moving some forty years ago' to Plattsmouth where he has since made his home. Stall tt aot.f: (Snecial) Nellie Russ Stall, daughter of John Jacob and Marietta Russ was born March 17, 1879, in Bennet and died Sept. 16 at 80. She was married to Irvin Stall Nov. 29, 1899. They owned and lived on a farm two and a half miles south of Eagle, -where her son Wilber has lived since the parents moved to Eagle. The couple had 10 daughters and three sons: Doris Eley, Ir ma Krumm, Vesta Stall, all of Lincoln; twins Mabel Myers of Palmyra and Myrtle King of Cal ifornia; Ramona Stall, Eagle; Helen Burlingame of Missouri; Nina Hardnock and Irene Rose rf California: sons Wilber of Eagle and Ira of Lincoln. She &l so had a sten-daughter, 'Mrs. El sie Herman and a step-son Jos eph of Lincoln. Thev all survive. Preceding her in death were her husband, Irvin, a son, Henry, and a dau ghter, Mary, and step-daughter Ft.t.a Also surviving are 24 grand- j children. 14 ereat-erandchildren ; and a sister, Myrtle Gambrel of j Omaha. Mrs. Stall was a member of Eagle Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Stall celebrated their golden wedding November, 1949, with an open house at their home in Eagle. Mrs. Stall suffered a slight stroke and recovered several months ago and early last Wed nesday morning, suffered anoth er stroke, rallied and then had a complete stroke and died that afternoon. Funeral was Sunday at Eagle Methodist Church with Rev. Rob ert Bowne officiating. Soloists were Irma Manners and Melvin Adams. Luella Vischer was or ganist. Pallbearers were Dale and William Trumble, Henry Trunk enbolz, Harvey Gerhard, Chas. Scattergood and Orin Lanning. Burial ws at Palmyra. Mrs. Emma B. j McMaken, Long Cass County Resident Dies The death of Mrs. Emma Mc Maken. 87, resident of Cass County for the greater part of her lifetime and an active figure in the social and religious life of Plattsmouth for many years.1 died at Hebron Sept. 21. She was born Dec. 22, 1871,, daughter of John and Kather- ine Inhelder Busche, at the farm; home at Cedar Creek, in which' community she spent her child- Plattsmouth to' Joseph H. Mr.- Maken, a member of one of the pioneer families of Cass Coun ty. They made their home in this city for many years, Mr. McMaken being engaged in the contracting business for years and also serving as City Coun cilman from trie oia zna wara j With the death of the husband j in 1938, Mrs. McMaken later moved to Wymore and Hebron to make her home with her dau ghter, Mrs. Sherman Taylor, since 1940. Mrs. McMaken was a mem ber of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Women's Bene fit Association in the years of her residence here. Survivors are her daughter: sons Ray of Sidney, Iowa, Jos eph of Plattsmouth and Fred of Omaha; 11 grandchildren and 22 great - grandchildren. Funeral was today at the chap el of Sattler Funeral Home with Rev. A. L. Embree, pastor of First Methodist Church officia ting. Mrs. Llovd Hcusman was so loist for the service with Mrs.! Fred Fischer at the organ. j Pallbearers were grandsons of the departed, Harlan Atkin son, Carl Mueller, Joe Taylor, Joe N. McMaken, Edward Mc Maken and Henry Guy McMak en. Burial was at Oak Hill Cem etery in the family plot. Death Of , Nebraska Native Last rifts were held Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Gothic Chapel of the Hagy-Keenan Mortuary, Alameda, Calif., for Donald Eu gene Warlick, 29, who drowned in a boating accident at Clear T.sIcp California. SeDt. 8. He had served as manager of j Alameda Jewelers at the South , Shore Center since the store op-1 ened in August, 1958. He served ; on the board of directors of the. South Shore Merchants Council and early last month had been named promotion chairman for the council. ! A native of Nebraska, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. A.: Warlick of Nehawka, who sur-i vive. He is also survived by his wife Phyllis of Oakland; three brothers, Byron A. War lick of McCook, Floyd L. War-; lick of Falls City and Alfred of Nehawka. and a sister, Mrs. Amy Jane Meyer of Plattsmouth. He served in the Navy from 1950 to 1954 ai;d had been in the jewelry business for five years. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Nehawka. Out of town friends and rel atives at the funeral were Mrs. Helen Sholz, Colby, Kan.; Mrs. Edith Hartzell, Scott City, Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cunningham, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Brown Woods and family, Moun tain Grove, Mo.: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dicke, Stratton and Mr. and Mrs. John Dole and Dennis and family of Omaha.
