Mrs. Eugene Bigelow and chil dren and Mrs. Harold Hickman all of Denver spent the week end here with relatives and in Platt.smouth. Mrs. BIkpIow came for her son, David, who spent the summer at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Burmeister. Mrs. Hickman brought home her nephew, Lynn ri. ...I i. i neeu, wno spent me summer with her. She also visited at the Karl Hickman home and with her mother, Mrs. Nellie Moore in Plattsmouth. Linda Woolhlser of Omaha is spending this week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Woolhiser. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sell and daughters were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bressman and family in Belle vue. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Larson and Corky of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dorsey and children, Gregg and Ellen of Fredrick, Md., were week end guests at the home of Mr and Mrs. Lloyd Larson. Mrs. Lee Konecky and chil dren of Omaha were guests Sun day at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Miller. Sunday evening callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wool hiser were Mr. and Mrs. Chaun cy Woolhiser and family of Om aha, Mrs. Goldie Robbins of Plattsmouth and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Grcll and Jo Ann. The LTrwdn family picnic was held at the Louisville City Park Sunday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Urwin of Garibaldi, Ore. who have been here visiting. There were about 35 relatives present including relatives from Greenwood, Ashland and Oma ha. The Urwins left for their home in Garibaldi Tuesday. Mrs. E. A. Ingram returned home last Saturday from a trip to Seattle, Wash., and the north west. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ingram and family to their home in Seattle. On the way they stopped at the J.R. Ranch near Hemingford and spent a day in the Yellowstone Park. In Seattle, Mrs. Ingram also visited at the Nile Donnel-! Estes Pail; In Colorado and Mrs E. A. Ingram and the Gene In gram children stayed for a vis it at the home of Mrs. E. A. In gram's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Ward at Trail's End Ranch near Hemingford. Mrs. Harold Schliefert and Geraldine Schliefert visited with Hulda Schliefert. Geraldine was visiting her sister and brother-in-law in Denver and came back to attend a wedding in Lincoln. She returned to Denver and is going to teach there this fall. Fire destroyed the equipment at the washhouse at Xhe Luken Trailer Court Tuesday evening. She called on Mr. and Mrs. Elme.r Runge, formerly Mildred Thierolf and with W.H. Lohnes at a beautiful rest home where he has a fine view of Lake Washington with the mountains in the background. She made a boat trip to Victoria, Canada, and had a wonderful time visit ing spots of interest. Her son Paul was sent to N.Y. the next day after his return to work at the Boeing Aircraft Co. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bigg? Jr. and Mary are enjoying a va cation in Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wildrick were in Omaha. Mrs. Wildrick had a checkup at her doctor'o. Mrs. Russell Campbell, Char les and Joyce of South Bend were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Linus Massoth in Man ley. Eight Boy Scouts from Louis vill spent a week at Camp Ced ars near Cedar Bluffs. Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Worth- man and Susan left Tuesday for a short vacation trip to Colo rado. Mrs. Jim Kritenbrink and Jim my of Louisville were Monday morning callers at the Elwood Leroy home in Manley. Glenn Love and children re turned home last week from a two week vacation trip with rel atives and friends in Richmond. Va. He also visited a sister of his in Ohio, whom he had not seen in several years. Mrs. Emily Kohler and her daughter and husband and fam ily, all of Fullerton, Calif., vis ited relatives in this vicinity. She is the former Emily Liv ingston. Her family were long time residents of Louisville and vicinity, moving away many years ago. A picnic was held at Bethany Park in Lincoln so all the relatives could meet Mrs. Kohler. Attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Ed In gram and their granddaughters, Cheryl and Linda Smith. Mrs. Kohler and Mrs. Ingram are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mas on returned home from a two week vacation trip to Colorado, Montana, Utah, Idaho and the Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Payne are parents of a daughter, born Thursday, July 30. She has been named Tanya Marie and weigh ed six pounds, 11 ounces. Mrs. Payne was formerly Mona Reed. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Reed of Louis ville and maternal great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Thom as Tennant. Mrs. E. A. Ingram Is with the Gene Ingram family of Lincoln on a week's visit with relatives in western Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ingram drove on to er were all damaged. The build ing was gutted but the walls were left standing. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schliefert and son Teddy returned home Sunday from a vacation trip to Florida. While in Florida they called on Mrs. Margaret McKen na, daughter of Mrs. John In man. Willard McShane is putting up a grain storage building across the track west of the elevator. The new building will hold a- bout 90,000 bushels of grain and is the second big one He s nad built. The other is just south of the elevator. Darrell Brandenburg, a tea cher in the Springfield Public Schools and a former teacher of the Louisville schools, was a candidate for a M. A. degree in education at New Mexico Wes tern College July 30. Walter Stohhnann returned home from Veterans Hospital where he had been some time. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stohl- mann and family were guests at a birthday supper for Mrs. Harry Rahn at the Rahn home in Papillion. Overnight guests Saturday of Mary Biggs were Jeanne Knut son of Cedar Creek and Joyce Barnes and Sybil Saltmarsh. Visiting last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Faubion was Peggy Dooley of Union. Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Hoov er and family of Rapid City, S.D., arrived last Friday for a visit with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Colerick of Louisville. They also visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jer ry Sheehan and children on Tues day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harms and family, left Saturday afternoon for their home in Aurora, 111., after spending two weeks here with relatives and friends. The Ted Harms family and Mr. and Mrs. Lacey McDonald of Mur dock were dinner guests of Mrs. Anna Harms Saturday. Guests Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Gess were Mrs. Gess's nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. George Denn ing of Davenport, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Isaac re turned home Wednesday eve ning from a two-week vacation trip to the Black Hills, Yellow stone Park and the Rocky Mt. National Park in the Rockies in Colorado. They also attend ed the Passion Play in the am phitheater in the Black Hills. Marsha Homan, 9, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Feigh ner, slipped and fell on the div ing board at the lake Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nichols and son Ross spent last week vacationing in Arizona and Colo rado. Callers at the Elmer Pear son home were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jenkins and son Don of Twin Falls, Idaho. Lois Proctor of Omaha visited with her sister, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mather and Cin dy. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Morin and family left Friday to return to their home in Marquette, Mich. Mrs. J. H. Albert and August Stohlmann Jr. attended the 50th KEEP IN TOUCH Mrs. Marie Trumble of Alham- Mr. and Mrs. George Hull and bra, Calif., was here the past Kay and Mary spent five days week to call on a number of old! at the Lake of the Ozarks in friends as a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Knorr. She visited at Eagle with mem bers of the family of her late husband, Ernest Trumble. Eag le is a longtime home of the Trumble family. Missouri, returning home Fri day. They also visited Wayne Wilson in Missouri. Merle Dean Meisinger, mem ber of the active reserve of the Air Force left Thursday for Col umbus, Ind., where he will at tend maneuvers. Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Schul dice of Omaha were here Fri day for a few hours, looking af ter business and visiting friends. Mr. Schuldice suffered a slight heart attack a week ago and was under treatment for a few days at St. Catherin's hospital. He is able to be around but is on the inactive list. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mc -Grath and Mike and Linda of Fort Worth, Tex., visited here. They were Tuesday 'guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hirz and anniversary of the Ladies Aid ; family. Mrs. Tressa Keckler of Man ley received word by phone from her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keckler at Ashland that the heavy rainfall broke a dike near their home and that it was flooded. Agnes Wildrick who had been visiting at the 'home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Har old Lancaster in Plattsmouth. for two weeks, returned home. Roger Scholting's car was stol en from in front of his place. It was found the next dav in Lou isville. The keys were not in it and the wiring had been chang ed. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Krec klow of Manley attended the Krecklow family reunion at Ne braska City. Mrs. Patricia Gunnels and sons returned home from a vis it at the home of Mr. and Mrs Carl Voigtman in Jefferson, Io wa. She also spent a day and night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doil Knight and family in Carroll, Iowa. Mrs. Susie Urwin of Omaha is visiting for a few days at the home of her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Don Urwin. Carol Davis, Plattsmouth sophomore, and Robert Bowne, Eagle sophomore, are among 44 students on the Dean's List for the second semester at Ne braska Wesleyan University. Mrs. Lester Thimgan and dau ghter, Miss Jane, were weekend guests of Judge and Mrs. J. H. Graves, parents of Mrs. Thimgan. George D. Ebersole, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ebersole, 631 Oakmont Drive, was named to the Dean's Honor Roll for the past quarter at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. A 1954 graduate of Plattsmouth High School, Ebersole is a mechan ical engineering student. Mrs. Fred Draper of this city is at the St. Joseph hospital in Omaha where she was operated on Thursday for mastoid. She is reported doing as well as possible but will be at the hospital for several days. Robert Frye, local police officer is now at Fort Ripley, M'nn., where he is in attendance at the summer training camp of the Nebraska and Iowa national guard, part of the 34th division. He is a member of the company from Nebraska City. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Curttright, Sr., were Sunday vistors at Ne maha, Neb., guests of relatives and friends. Sammy Pierce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Pierce, will enter the Methodist hospital Tuesday afternoon and will have surgery Wednesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Willis and Mrs. Carl Sell of this city are at tending the grand aerie meeting of the Fraternal Order of Eagles being held at Toronto, Canada. Mr. Willis is worthy president of the Plattsmouth aerie. Mr. and Mrs. Don Harms and Barbara of Omaha were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harms and Sharon Sunday. Bar bara is to spend the week with Sharon. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Wiles and family from Bakersfield, Calif., have been visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Wiles. They will leave Tuesday for Blackwell, Okla., where they will visit relatives of Mrs. Wiles. Jack Smocks Back From Hospital The Jack Smock family have had a great deal of hospitaliza tion in the last few weeks. Mr. Smock returned home Thursday from the Methodist hospital where he had undergone major surgery. Mrs. Smock had been a patient at the Fame hospital returning home July 30. She un derwent treatment for a coro nary attack, accompanied him home. 4!)'ers The Pleasant Ridge 49'ers met Aug. 3 at Phil Meisinger's home. We practiced judging beef and swine. A team was to be cho sen to judge at the County Fair. The next meeting will be Sept. 26. All record books are to be completed and turned in then. The meeting was closed and lunch was served by Mrs. Mei singer. Cheryl Sullivan, reporter. The Misses Mary Jane and Billie Jean Walkinshaw of Gris wold, Iowa spent the past week as guests of their aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Dale Philpot. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walkinshaw were Sunday dinner guests, taking the grls home. Mrs. Fred Newman who has been visiting at St. Louis with relatives and friends returned Sunday to her home after a very pleasant outing.
