Porter, later driv ing to Nebraska City and hav ing dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Keedy were celebrating their 43rd wed ding anniversary. Dr. James Frans of Milford drove to Union last Friday and took his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Ray Frans, to his home to spend the weekend and Fath er's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Frans and two little granddau ghters. The family brought the parents back to Union last Sun day evening. This community was grieved to hear of the death of Ray Bramblett at the Veterans Hos pital in Lincoln last Monday morning. He had only been in the hospital one week. Carol Attebery sang a solo. Horace Griffin was taken sud denly ill with a heart attack last Sunday. He is recovering nicely from the attack at his home. All of the families of the Griffins had been with the parents for the day to enjoy Father's Day. Mr. and Mrs. George Stine, Ellen, Cathy and Carolyn and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cross spent Father's Day at Council Bluffs at the home of Charles James and family. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ander son and Evelyn Henderson re turned to Union last Wednes day after an eight-day trip. They visited a brother of Mrs. Anderson, Dewey Hoback, and wife at Fremont. Also Ponca State Park, Gavins Point Dam, Niobrara State Park, Niobrara Wild Life Reserve at Valentine. National Forest at Halsey, the Pioneer Village at Minden and House of Yesterday at Hastings. They also visited a short time with their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Weil and family on a ranch at Thedford. Father's Day guests of Mr and Mrs. Melvin Todd and Nan cy were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Todd, Jr., and Jane and Bev erly and Mrs. Hazel Borcher ding of Lincoln. The invocation was given by Rev. A. L. Embree, pastor of the church. Melvin Todd was emcee and presented the pro gram numbers. Singing was a choral group or lynn ana Ellen Paasch, Iola and Irene Rich, Joyce Schanot Carol Attebery, Ellen Stine and Mary Easter. The welcome was by Robert Stine. Lynn Paasch sang. The address was by Rev. Harold Crume of Omaha, executive dir ector of the Omaha City Mis sion Society.
