Mr. and Mrs. Rummel spent the Holidays vLiting with many of his friends in Nebraska. Richards reports Robert Rum mel recently underwent surgery and is well on his way to recovery. Home Chapter OES To Install Officers Home Chapter No. 189 Order of Eastern Star will hold instal lation of officers for 1959 at an open meeting Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. Mrs. Florence Noell and Mr. Leonard Born will be installed as worthy matron and worthy patron. The public is invited. Pleasant Ridge At Sullivan Home The Pleasant Ridge 49ers met at the home of Cheryl Sullivan Jan. 3. The disscusion was filling out Record Books. Freddie Larsen joined our club. Refreshments were served after the meeting. The next meeting will be held Feb. 7 at the home of Dennis Todd, news reporter, Cheryl Sullivan. Mrs. P. A. Hild Has 81st Birthday A number of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mrs. P. A. Hild Jan. 4 to help Mrs. Hild celebrate her 81st birthday. She is stil quite active being able to do all her own house work as well as taking part in community and church activities. Several of the immediate family were sick with the flu or colds and could not attend, but among those present were Raymond Hild, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hild and Leonard, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hild, Robert, Rolland and Richard, Ralph Hild, Mr. and Mrs. James Pol lard, Cynthia, David and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Hall Pollard, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meisinger and Alan, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gan semer, Mrs. Anna Gansemer, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Puis, Frank and Ralph, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Puis, Ronnie, Delbert and Joyce. The evening was spent in playing cards and visiting. A lunch was served after which all departed wishing Mrs. Hild many more happy birthdays. BIRTHS - Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gregg are the parents of a daughter born Jan. 7 at St. Mary's Hospi tal, Nebraska City, weighing 7 lbs., 4 oz. She has been named Barbara Jo. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gregg of Plattsmouth and Mrs. Maude Ruhge cf Avoca. Lennie McVay of Murray is the baby's mater nal great grandfather. The Greggs have two olher children, Tom and Linda.
