Mrs. Vern Harter entertained her pinochle club on Thursday afternoon. Chapter BT of PEO met Fri day at the home of Mrs. Helen Clark with Mrs. Eugene Day as co-hostess. The Elizabeth Chapter OES met Tuesday evening at the Lod ge Hall. Jim Stacey and Bob Smith of Lawrence, Kan, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. E. Thom as Stacey and family. Bob Smith attends the University of Kansas and the two men were in the service together. Mrs. Stacey took Jim back to school in Lin coln Sunday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Scott Willoughby and Ann. Mrs. E. Thomas Staceyj at tended a Mother's Alliance of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity on Friday. The mothers enjoyed a luncheon at Bishop's Cafeteria and later held the meeting at the fraternity house. Mrs. James Zessin left Wed nesday morning for her home in Opp, Ala. after visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Zessin. Mark Wiles was the host at a family dinner on Sunday in his home. He was assisted by his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Ranney. Mrs. Arthur Wiles spent a week visiting in Lincoln at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frankie Smith and with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Uffelman. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Emshoff of Avoca entertained at a bir thday dinner on Sunday in hon or of the birthday of Mrs. Dena Ruge and Stanley Emshoff. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Mather and family and Frances Ruge were also guests. The Weeping Water football boys, their coaches and the fa thers of the boys attended the Weileyan-Doane game in Lin coln. The mothers of the boys and the families enjoyed a pot lock supper at the school house Friday evening and afterwards enjoyed playing pinochle. The Christian Builders Class of the Christian Church held a covered dish dinner following church services Sunday in the church parlors. Mrs. S. H. Patricia Koenig of Omaha spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Joe John. Sharon and Shirley Upton tertalned the Christian Church choir members in their home Wednesday evening after choir practice. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Atterbury of Adams visited for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Upton and family. David Mu'.lin soent the week end in Albion with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Saathqff are the parents of a son, Michael John, born Nov. 10 at Bryan Hospital, Lincoln. He weighed 7 pounds, 11 Vz ounces. A motion to change the name of the Woman's As sociation to Woman's Fellowship was made and is to be voted on at the next meeting.
