Dr. E. C. Mc Dade of Lincoln spckp at Church Sunday morn ing. James Vincent assisted him in the pulpit, announcing the songs and giving the announce ments. Sunday School and Church will be held at the us ual time next Sunday. There will be someone to deliver the sermon but no one permanent as yet. Rev. Dick Deems left Thursday and the family left Saturday. Mrs. Ann Hardnock spent from Friday until Sunday with Mr and Mrs. Archie Hardnock at Lincoln. Mrs. Susan Roelofsz of Lin coln spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Anna Hardnock. Mrs. Golda Wade, sister of Mrs. Acldie Kinney of Hunting ton Park, Calif., has been here visiting with friends and rela tives. Tuesday Mrs. Wade, Mrs. Kinney and Mr. and Mrs. Jun ior Kinney and family were din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kinney. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Schuelke and family of Dover, Del., are visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schuelke. They are awaiting orders to go to Hawaii. Mrs. Anna Hardnock accom pained her son-in-law Orvllle Oerbling of Elmwood to Knob Noster, Mo., Saturday, to the home of her grandaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Graham's. Mrs. Oerbling has been there for some time, she returned home bring ing the twins with her. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Graham, great granddaugh ters of Mrs. Hardnock. The Mother's and Daughters GIFT HE'LL CHERISH PRINCE GARDNER THIN TWIN REGISTRAR Council met nt the homo of Mrs. Emil Rieke June 6th for their annual covered dish luncheon. Mrs. Gus Strieck of Murdock and Mrs. Harry Marshall and Mrs. Grover Hill of Elmwood were visitors. Mrs. Lester Rosenow had the program. Marie Rosenow and Pamela Timblin played a Violin and Accordion duet, Pamela Timblin played an accordion solo and Mrs. Rosenow, with the assistance of her children, Bob bie, Johnny and Marie and Pam Timblin and Mrs. Willard Tim blin as reader put on a play, en titled, "The Lamp Went Out." This was the last meeting until one next September at Mrs. Harvey Heier's home. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Weichel were guests of her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dreamer at his cabin near the State Fisher ies Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Howe and family drove to the cabin in the afternoon, hav ing a picnic supper at the lakes at Louisville. The Cook and Sew Club met June 2 with Diana Rogers. De monstrations were given by Sharyl Vande Hoef and Diana Rogers. Officers are: president, Sharyl Vande Hoef; vice presi dent, Jackie Jipp; secretary, Joyce Vande Hoef, and report er, Patricia Snavely. The other members are Ruth Dougherty, Jane Beckman, Susie Leaver, Janette Weichel, and Diana Rogers. The leader is Dorothy Jipp. Next meeting will be June 16 at Susie Leaver's home. Susie will demonstrate "How to Op erate a Sewing Machine." Mrs. Mabelle Elliott left for Denver Monday morning with her daughter Mrs. Melvin Doran and daughters of Eagle. Mike Doran has been with his aunt, Mrs. Melvin Loos at Denver, and his mother and grandmother will bring him home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Snavely and Patty spent Saturday even ing with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Snavely to celebrate Mrs. Mau rice Snavely's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wismer and family entertained Mr. and Mrs. Chris Christensen of Lin coln Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oehler king of Elmwood spent Sunday evening with the Wilson Howe family. Their grand children, Larry, Deanna and Donna Gilsdorf of Lincoln re turned to spend some of the summer vacation with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Troudt of Omaha visited in the George McKulsky home on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. bill Mrasek of Oakland, Calif., visited at the home of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Don Mrasek and Roger on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Nickels and Mrs. Bud Nickels attended the wedding of Robert Klaurens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Klau rens, at Rexford, Kansas. Glen Klaurens is a nephew of the Neckels. They left on Saturday and returned the following Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hobsch eidt and family and Mr. and Mr. Charles Martin and girls at tended the "Little Britches" Rodeo in Springfield on Sunday. In the evening they returned to the home of the Martins and en joyed a weiner roast. Visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gansamer for the past two weeks, is their grand daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Donald McClure and Don na Louise of Torrance, Califor nia. Mr. McClure went on to Columbus, Ohio on business. The McClure's are returning to Cal ifornia by plane, where they will move into their new home around July 1st. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lewis, who reside west of Murray, returned on Monday evening from a vaca tion to Indiana, where they have been visiting relatives. The Pinochle Supper Club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Jose at Nebraska City on Saturday evening. The high prizes were won by Clarence Jacobsen, and Mrs. Dale Top liff. Low prizes went to Everett Jose and Mrs. Wilbur Fey. Week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Mrasek and Roger were Mrs. Hazel Mrasek and Mr. and Mrs. Will Linder of San Bernardino, Calif. The Vacation Bible School picnic was held on Friday at the Murray Park. There was a large crowd in attendance and an ab undance of delicious food. The Bible School Program was pre sented on Sunday evening at the Murray Christian Church. Sunday and Monday with Mrs. Turner McKinnon. Alice Kellogg spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Minnie Peterson and Wednesday after noon with Mrs. Earl Bennett. Mrs. Grace Copple spent Wed nesday afteroon with Mrs. An na Fifer of Eagle. Ben Deameron from the Union College at College View will talk on the Advent Church, Sunday, June 22 during the Sunday School Hour. Claudette Wismer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wismer, has had chicken pox. Mrs. Walter Vincent has had a bout with poison ivy, but is much improved at this writing. Emil Rieke has had an eye infection, he has had to tem porarily quit his job at the Have lock Shops. W.S.C.S. was held at the Church Wednesday. Mrs. Ho ward Deems of Lincoln was pre sent to present Cindy Deems, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Dick Deems with a Baby Honorary , Membership to the W.S.C.S. Mrs. ' Glen Dimmitt gave the lesson! Mrs. Max Towne of Kimball ton, Iowa came for the week end to visit her children and parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Stcrmer. Steve and Carol have been visiting their grandparents this past week, Steve went home with his mother and Bruce stayed with Carol for a longer visit. Mrs. A. B. Stromer, Mrs. Max Towne and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Muehcheau, of Eagle, Mrs. Grace Copple and Mrs. Helen Copple and children were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Muehcheau. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Gilmore and family were hosts to her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Melancon of Fort Arthur, Tex., Sunday. Mark Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gronberg of Minneapolis, were at Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Klyver's this week. Mark Smith has moved back to Lincoln. He is the husband of the late Golda Klyver Smith, Mrs. Gronberg was her daughter Charlene. The children put on a very nice program. Mr. and Mrs. Rae Cameron and Miss Leona Jennings of Lincoln were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Druecker. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shrop shire and children have moved into the Druecker apartments. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hurst and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkening were callers in the Fred Camp bell home Sunday afternoon. Little Reggie and Terry Winn, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Winn are In the Children's Memorial Hospital in Omaha. The boys have a bad case of the flu and virus. On Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Wisneiskie stopped for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. James Eastridge. They were en route to their home in Chicago from a honeymoon trip to Cal ifornia. Mr. Wisneiskie and Mr. Eastridge were Army Buddies during the Korean War. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin and girls visited on Saturday evening in the Harley Cotting ham home. Mr. and Mr. Frank Fitzpatrick and family were hosts on Sun day to a family dinner, honor ing Mr. Fitzpatrick's mother, Mrs. Blanche Fitzpatrick on her birthday. Guests present to help her celebrate her birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Les Pippitt and Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Davis and Becky, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Score, Mrs. Sylvia Fitz patrick, Sharon and Richard and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Fitz patrick, Patty and Johnny of Glenwood. Mrs. Clara Myer of Princeton, Illinois is visiting her daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Char les Spangler and family.' Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hild and Mrs. C. D. Spangler called on Mrs. Will Cook of Elmwood on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Spang ler is a sister to Mrs. Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Blotzer Bible School Program Held at Weeping Water WEEPING WATER (Special) The Bible School program was held on Friday evening at the Congregational church. Rev. C. F. Weideman was ov erall superintendent of the coop erative school, with the Metho dist, Christian, Congregational and United Missionary Church taking part. Rev. Weideman gave the welcome and told of the Bible School work during the two weeks. An offering of $58.19 had been taken during these two weeks i and will be divided equally be- i tween the Nebraska Council ofj Churches and the American Bi- j ble Society. Mrs. David Baxter was super-! intendent of the kindergarten j and pre-school department with : Marlene Noble, Rae Ellen Rho des, Mrs. James Stewart, Mrs. Frank Saathoff, Velda Lee and Karen Mather as helpers.
