Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Nolte, Janet and Generic, Mr. and Mrs. Will Nolte and Pamela Womack, and Mr. and Mrs. O rln Pollard and family of Schal ler, la. Miss Velma Hartley of Omaha was a dinner guest Sunday in l 1 the home of her sister and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Shradcr lthod on and Don. Mr. and Mrs. Cyras Livingston of Weeping Water and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sack left Saturday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Charle- Livingston and family in Tom kawa, Okla. They spent the weekend and returned Monday evening. Mrs. Sack, reports shu -got quite a thrill driving on the . Kansas turnpike. MLss Linda Gaucr of Louis ville spent the weekend In the Shrader Rhoden home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell of Lincoln visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Smith and Carol Wednesday and Thursday of the past week. Mrs. Chrissie Perry of Alberta, Canada is visiting her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Parr Young, and other friends and relatives in this area. It seems the old antl young alike are being bothered with" the three days measles thi's year. Some of those who are; at home at this time are Debbie Spangler, Patty Wohlfarth, Lin da Martin, Denny Richter and Joe Richter. Mr. and Mrs. James Eastridgc drove to Springfield and Bron son, Mo., on business the past week. The CWF Executive Commit tee will meet April 30 at tha.. home of Mrs. Martin Sporer for the purpose of writing the Con stitution for the Christian Wo mens Fellowship. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burton , and Steve of Grand Island sp:nt the weekend with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Stone. The Burtons attended a Credit Loan Convention in Lincoln Sat urday. On Sunday, April 13, Mr. and Mrs. Havely Sayers were host;; for a family dinner in home of Mrs. Dan Hoschar's birthday. Con v4 r- .- - - i j. 7 Bad-Check Purchase Of Truck License Here Is Costly Dean Phillips, 23, Carson, Iowa, this week paid a fine of $50 and costs of $23.80 in Coun ty Court and made restitution on no-funds checks of $417.50 and $30.50 he gave the county treas urer for truck license and taxes. Besides that, the license plates and registration are being held and the license and tax fees have not been refunded. Phillips had purchased the license for a truck he said he had at Manley and given the checks on an Oakland, Iowa, bank. The checks proved worth less, Sheriff Tom Solomon trac ed Phillips to Iowa and he was returned here to face charges after first refusing to waive ex tradition to Nebraska. In County Court, he pleaded "guilty" to the insufficient funds check charge.
