Upon wheat, corn, soybeans dry edible beans and flax pro duced, four mills per bushel; 2. Upon all other grains in cluding vetch produced, two mills per bushel; 3. Upon all seeds produced, fifteen mills per hundred pounds, clean seed basis; and an ad ditional fifteen mills per hun dred pounds, clean seed basis for each transaction of receiv ing, handling, processing or tran sporting for the purpose of sale or resale of seed; 4. Upon all grain received, handled, processed or trans ported by the first dealer, one mill; and 5. Upon all grain received, handled, processed or transpor ted by any dealer subsequent to the first dealer, one half mill." A tax of one mill means $1 per thousand bushels, four mills is $4 per thousand bushels. Schedules filed after April 20 will be penalized 50 per cent of tne total valuation. The gathering was a farewell in honor of Tom Wolfe who is going into the service. Guests present were: Frankie Wolfe who is soon to return to Germany after several weeks at home; Mr. and Mrs. Buck Jones of Nehawka; Sidney Cook, wife and two children of Plattsmouth: Mr. and Mrs. Clvde Cook of Bel levue ; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wolfe; Mr. and Mrs. Don Wolfe, Jan and Mary. The ladies of the Methodist church were guests of the lad ies of the Baptist church in the World Day of Prayer services Feb. 21. Carroll Attebery and Carol WWaehncr sang a duet.
