The meeting opened with a flag salute. Fun Night which was held Nov. 17 brought in a gross cf $225 making it a successful e- vent of the year. Mrs. D. K. Rhoden was ap pointed paper drive chairman. A calling committee was also named. The executive committee's proposed budget was approved which included one honorary state life membership that goes into a fund for teachers. The meeting adjourned and Miss George led' the group in song in her usual intimated fashion. She also favored the group with a solo, "Our Town." Mrs. Green, program chair man, spoke on book week and . stressed our free library ser vice for children. Reverend Delap of the Pres byterian Church showed a film "As The Twig Is Bent", which proved enjoyable to the group. A horn of plenty centered the serving table wThere cup cakes, coffee and hot chocolate were served by the morning Kinder garten mothers. Baby sitters offering their ser vices during the business meet ing were Garalyn Ruse, Bonnie Way and Ruth Horn. Adorn ram Council Holds Meeting Adoniram Council No. 5 of this city met in special assem bly Monday evening at the Ma- sonic hall to confer the Royal and Select Master degrees on a jclass of seven candidates from Falls City and three from Platts- mouth. There were also three mem bers of the Council present from 'Falls City to see their compan ions receive the work. Kenneth Young Learns Ot uearn Or His father Kenneth Young of this city received the sad news this morning (Thursday) oi the sudden death of his father Roscoe Young, at Carthage, 111. Mr. Young was found lying in tne roadway, apparently strick en witn a sudden neart attack. Kenneth and Mrs. Young left at once for the family, home in Illinois, being taken there by Robert Longmore. In The Service FORT EUSTIS, Va. (AHTNC) Army Pvt. John D. Tyo, 34, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Tyo. Louisville, Neb., recently was assigned to the 714th Trans portation Railway ODeratini? Battalion's Company C at Fort EustisVa. Private Tyo, a locomotive fireman, entered the Army in April of this year and complet ed basic training at Fort Hood, Tex.
