Lots 7 to 12, both inclusive, Block 223 Mrs. Buechler Dies in Omaha After Illness Mrs. Bertha A. Buechler, 89, died Tuesday in an Omaha hos pital after an illness of two weeks. She was born December 16, 1866, in Germany, coming to this country when she was 18. . Mrs. Buechler previously lived in Cedar Creek. She had made her home with her son, Har old, in Plattsmouth for the past 13 years. She was married to Jacob Buechler who died in 1927. She was a member of St. Pauls Reformed and Evangeli cal Church. Besides her son, Harold, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Emma Terryberry of Imperial; sons, Louis of Cedar Creek and Fred of Plattsmouth. A daughter, Helen Gregory, and one son, John, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at Sattler Funeral Home. The Rev. G. E. Seybold will officiate. Calling hours are this after noon from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Sattlers. Interment will be at the Glen dale Cemetery in Louisville. Mrs. Ida Canfield Is Dead at Masonic Home in This City Mrs. Ida M. Canfield, 92, died Tuesday at the Masonic Home. She was admitted to the Home through Beaver City Lodge 93, AF and AM. She lived at the Home for nearly nine months. Mrs. Canfield was a member Df the Church of the Brethren. She leaves a brother, Milton W. Forney of Beaver City; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Scott of Spo kane, Wash.; and one niece, Mrs. Thelma Strickland of Bea ver City. The body will be shipped to Beaver City for burial. Cald- well-Linder Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. A mild dip in economic ac tivity in the year's third quar ter was foreseen by most of the business leaders assembling for the spring meeting of the Busi ness Advisory Council. Mr. Streight died in Sacra mento, Calif., while enroute to the home of his daughter in Spokane, Wash. During the past summer, Mr. Streight was a visitor at the John Cloidt, Sr., and Hulda Weidmann homes. He was employed at the lattsmouth Burlington Shops about 35 years ago. The body was sent to Olewein, Iowa, for services. C W. Burton Passes Away NEHAWKA Charles W. Bur ton, 87, of Nehawka died Tues day at a Nebraska City hospital after a three year illness. Mr. Burton, who had been re tired for a number of years, previously resided in Wabash. He was born May 18, 1896, in Williamsburg, Pa.,- the son of Wilbur and Mahala Burton. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Lillie Miller of Nehawka, and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Caldwell Linder Funeral Home. Calling hours are this eve ning from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of Nehawka. Local Cub Scouts Plan Field Events "Field event night" for the local Cub Scouts will be held at 7:30 p. m. tomorrow at the ath letic field. Prizes will be presented to winning boys in the following events: Foot racing, broad jump, high jump, baseball throw and walking the plank. Toman Services Are Held At St. Johns Church Funeral services for Francis Bernard Toman, 49, were held this past Thursday at St. Johns Church. Rev. Raphael Chonta officiated. Mr. Toman died June 19 after an eight year illness. Bearers were Frank Koubek, Frank Strough, Ray Aylor, Louis Swoboda, Louis Schiessl and Harland Hurst.
