The men went across a field o a farmhouse and obtained a ride back to Plattsmouth from the farmer. The sheriff said the men fail ed to inform Mr. Timm they had wrecked his car. The car was easily located fol lowing contact with the Glen- wood sheriff who had already found the car and ordered it towed to an Iowa garage. The two jailed men blamed a portion of their troubles onto drinking. Mink told the sheriff he consumed between 15 and 20 beers and Liddick said he drank between 10 and 12. Only last week a Cass County jury found Liddick innocent of third offense drunken driving following a trial during which he had admitted drinking a similar number of beers.
