Miss Imogene Schiber who is employed with the Trans World Airlines in Kansas City, Mo., spent Thanksgiving vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Schiber. Miss Schiber recently spent six weeks in Den ver working for the Airline com pany. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Todd of Lincoln were guests of Mrs. Todd's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lohnes last week and other relatives. Mrs. Otto Lutz and daughter, Marilyn have moved to town and have rented Vieir farm home west of Mynard to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Loper and family. Denny Ptak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Ptak, arrived from Burbank, Calif., Tuesday morn ing where he has been employ ed at Lockheed Aircraft for the past three months. Fifteen little friends came in and helped her celebrate. Danny Crounover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crounover, had a tonsilectomy Tuesday. A total of 22 friends of a dance club at Brock surprised Ernest Emshoff Wednesday eve ning, the night before his birth day. On Thursday evening the Mr. and Mrs. Dave Toman and sons were at Wymore Saturday where they spent the day at the Harry Henton home. Mr. Bert Philpot of Weeping Water was in Plattsmouth Wed nesday on business. " Friends received word that Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Reeby of St. Paul, Minn., are the parents of a son born Nov. 19. Mrs. Reeby was the former Mar j one Devoe. A. J. Ross of Nebraska City was transacting business in town Wednesday. Mrs. Harold Hyde and Mrs. Walter Fulton of Plattsmouth returned from Hammond, Ind., Friday morning after a three and one-half week visit with their husbands, who are work ing for the Missouri Valley Dredge company there. Their visit ended with Thanksgiving Day spent with- their husbands. Lt. and Mrs. Jim Doody who are visiting here while awaiting overseas orders were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rebal Tueday and later evening callers at the home of Mr. and- Mrs. Carl Morehead. Charles D. Koke Sr. who re turned to his home from the Clarkson hospital, Omaha only last Saturday, was taken quite ill on Wednesday evening and has returned to the hospital. They have anoth er son. Avoca Mrs. Caroline Marquardt spent Sunday at Russell, Iowa, where she visited Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hile and family. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marquardt and family spent Thanksgiving at Springfield, Mo., with Mr. and Mrs. K. V. White and sons. Miss Mary Zimmerer, Nebras ka City, who recently came home from a trip to Europe, spent Thanksgiving at the Os car Zimmerer home. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Frahm and fam ily of Ithaca were guests. Mrs. Frahm is also a daughter of Mrs. Berlin. " ' Elmwood Omaha Thanksgiving Thanksgiving morning early Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kunz and Dale called to take Mrs. Chas. Born emeier to Omaha for Thanks giving turkey dinner with Mr. and Mrs. George Dilger and son Charles. Mrs. Dilger is her daughter. The Kunz returned to Elmwood but Mrs. Bornemeier remained until Sunday when Mr. and Mrs. Dilger and Charles brought her home. They all had ! supper at her home, then went: to visit Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bornemeier. Mrs. Henry Borne meier has been suffering from a heart condition but was sitting up. Then the Dilger's drove to Lincoln to return Charles to the University of Nebraska, where he is a senior. Elmwood Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Moore entertained a t Thanksgiving dinner their son, Jim Moore, and wife, Shirley; their daugh ter, Joann Lynn. Ethel Lang horst, Mrs. Moore's sister, and their little granddaughter, Jan et Gibbs, was also there. She has been with the Moores for sev eral months. On Sunday, Nov. 27, Mrs. Moore left for Shreve port La., to take Janet home to her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Gibbs. Mrs. Gibbs is the daugh ter of the Moore's (Dorothy).
