Lester Tay lor. 53-2tp Ivan Caddy Rites Held at Hayelock EAGLE (Special) Ivan Cad dy, 56, Lincoln, son of Mrs. Rosa Caddv. and brother of Mrs. Flos sie Trumble, of Eagle, died last Thursdav afternoon at a Lincoln hospital following a heart attack at his home Funeral services were held at the Havelock Methodist church with burial at Eagle. Mr. Caddy was born at Eagle and lived here until a few years ago when he moved to the Have lock community. He lives his widow, Pearl, and a daughter, Jill, of Lincoln and his mother and sister of Eagle. Rev. Clarence Smith of the Havelock Methodist church con ducted the rites; Dorothy Cas key of Omaha was a singer. Bearers were Paul Karnes, Merrill Walters, Floyd Wisman, William Trumble, Roy Vickers and Orin Lanning. Edwin Clark Rites Held at Elmwood ELMWOOD (Special) Fun eral services for Edwin D. Clark, 70, former Elmwood resident, were held at the Clements fun eral home here Saturday. Mr. Clark died at Lincoln May 17. Rev. T. H. Kampman con ducted the rites. Mrs V. G. Cle ments sang. Beearers were Al bert Kunz, La Vern Nickel, Pete Nickel, Jim Turner, Alva Reid and Guy Clements. Mrs. Clark, who had been liv ing in California, came to Uni versity Place to be near his old! home a few weeks ago. His wife, the former Delia DeFord, pre ceded him in death about a year ago. A nephew, who had been living with him, was accidental ly killed last fall. He was born in Elmwood on August 18, 1884, and spent his early life here. The group was composed of the twe Borne meier, Reuter, Kunz and Oehler- kmg families. . The different branches of the family reported the .following events that have taken place during the past year: Three silver wedding anniver- saries were ocservea, tnose oi Lloyd and Eleanor Kunz, Edgar and La vina' Backemeyer, ana George and Alice Bornemeier. Three couples were married, namely: Lavina Oehlerking and Lawrence Schwaninger, Cheryll Drake and- Eldon Oehlerking, and Janice Miller and Charles Backemeyer. Two members of the group passed away during the year. They were Edna (Oehlerking) Swartz, Emery and Emma (Kunz) Clements. . Daughters were born to the Roscoe Bornemeiers, Dick Born- emeiers, Eldon Oehlerkings, and Cecil Rueters. Sons were born to the Larry Lannens, Herbert Blums, Jerry Bornemeiers, Leiana tsasis, iea Koehiers, ttan r oizins, tvennein Sundlings, Wallace Richerts, Ed mund Snooks, Willis Brannans, and Howard Bornemeiers. Boys who are now in the service of their country are: Renos Kunz, Junior Oehlerking, : Myron Oehlerking, Marl: Borne meier, Howard Bornemeier, Charles Baekemeyer, Willis Brannan, and Jack Brannan. Members of the committee ap pointed to have charge of the 1956 reunion are: Florence Stolz, chairman; Walter Oehlerking, secretary - treasurer; Raymond Bornemeier, Willard Rueter, and Norman Bornemeier. Out-of-state guests who at tended the reunion were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rueter of Grand , Junction. Iowa: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Vsigtman and Ronald of Jefferson, Iowa; Mr. ana Mrs. Harry Anderson, Diane and Tim of Gardena. California, and Mr. and Mrs. John Black cf Long Beach, California. St. Paul Circles Social Meetings Held Tuesday St.' Paul Circles held their social meetings on Tuesday evening, May 17. Circle I met at the church parlors with Mrs. Geo. Kaffenberger, Mrs. Verner Meisinger and .Mrs. John P. Meisinger as hostess. The meeting was under the direction of the Chairman, Mrs. Leonard Born. Mrs. Otto Pitz gave the Devotions entitled "We Would Be Building" One Great Fellowship" taken from the Guild Devotional book. Mrs. Orville Muller read the Scrip ture. At the conclusion of the business session, games- were enjoyed and prizes awarded to the winners. Mrs. Leonard Born received the door prize. Seventeen members and 5 vis itors were present to enjoy the refreshments served by the hostesses. June hostesses are Mrs. Elmer Haffke, Mrs. Fred Haffke and Mrs. Henry Held- Circle II met at the country home of Mrs. Victor Meisinger with Mrs. Leon Meisinger and Mrs. Elmer Stoehr as co.hostess es. Circle chairman, Mrs. Fred Lugsch had charge of the meeting. Mrs. Philip Meisinger presented Lbe Devotional lesson. For the social part of the i meeting games were played and prizes given to the lucky win ners. Door prizes were also awarded. Delicious refreshments were served to 17 members and 6 visiters.
