' 8 r,J.4 "-i Team with a top chance to cop the Class B state two-mile relay crown at Lincoln Friday is the Plattsmouth high school squad which is fresh from a win at the district meet at Seward last weekend where the team won the event in 9 minutes, 7 seconds. The four half milers pic tured here (from left) are John England, Bob Carr, Ed Egenberger and Vern Kaffenberger, who own the fastest time for a class B team this year. SEWARD Plattsmouth Blue Devils went home with a close second place among the point finishers in the district Class B meet here and qaulified five events for the state meet next weekend at Lincoln. The Devils picked up qualify ing positions in the 880-yard re lay; the 2-mile relay; the 100 yard dash; the 220-yard dash; and the low hurdles. Plattsmouth finished second to David City in point totals. David City had 47 5-6 points; Plattsmouth 38; York 33; Wahoo 28; and Omaha Holy Name 26 1-3. Don Conyers picked up a Plattsmouth first in the 100 yard dash when he rolled in with a :10.4 seconds time. Conyers also ran a :23.8 220-yard dasn to win that event with Freeburg second in 24 seconds. The Devils won two events they expected to Kaffenberger, Eg enoerger, Carr and England won the 2-mile relay event in 9 min utes, 7 seconds and Conyers, Rohlffs, Graves and Freeburg won the 880-yard relay in 1:40.1.
