Xur next eeting will be held or April 21 at the home of Mrs. Pete Tschettsr. - kv. novara uavis LAWYER - Phone 264 g50S Main St. Platts mouth Triple Wedding An niversary Noted EAGLE Three Lincoln couples, involving a family of former Eagle residents, have celebrated the same " wedding date in a triple celebration. : They are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Read, who celebrated their 25th anniversary; Mr. and Mrs. Ar thur Sackett," who celebrated their fourth wedding , anniver sary; and Mr. and Mrs. James Overmans, who celebrated their first anniversary. The Overmans were en route to California where Mr. Over mans is stationed -with the armed forces. The father, mother, and two daughters are graduates of Eagle high school. Mrs. Sackett was an honor student at grad uation and Arthur served in the U. S. Marines. Mrs., Read is the former Nelda Frohlich. - Homemakers Day Planning Started Good Will Club Meets at Mortons UNION The Good Will club met at the home of Mrs. Harley Morton Thursday afternoon. The time was spent socially. In business action, the club decided that each member of the club should donate to the Red Cross rather than the club as a whole. ' Mrs. Charles Coghill was " a guest. Donal Dean Fulton serv ing with the armed . forces at Fort Bliss, Texas. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam, Fulton of Sewell, Iowa. , Miss Plunkett is a graduate of the Elmwood high school. Wedding date has been set for April 7, 1955. . St.v Pauls Circles Hold' Meetings Circles of the St. Paul's Wom en's Guild met on Tuesday ev ening, March 15th. Circle I met at the church parlors with Mrs. Elsie McClin tock, Mrs. Joe Loper and Mrs. Earl Marie r as hostesses. The meeting was conducted by the chairman Mrs. Leonard Born. Devotions were given by Mrs. Otto Pitz with Mrs. Edgar Meis mger playing the piano for the songs used in the devotions. For the social part of the meeting games were played and prizes awarded to the winners who were Mrs. Otto Lutz, Mary lin LutZ; Mrs. Hurst and Mrs. Verner Kaffenberger drew the door prize. The hostesses served refresh ments to 18 members and four visitors. Hostesses for April will be Mrs. Otto Pitz, Mrs. Henry Klinger and Mrs. Orville Muller. Circle II met at the home of Mrs. Fred Lugsch with Mrs. Mack Anderson and Mrs. Eliz abeth Engelkemcier as Co-hostesses. Mrs. Lugsch was the chair man in charge of the meeting. The devotions were given by Mrs. Philip Meisinger. At, the conclusion of the bus iness' session Mr. Lugsch show ed moving pictures taken on the Lugschs' trip to Canada and old Mexico. Mrs. John Parkening and Mrs. Carl Kreager won the door prizes. Nineteen members enjoyed the delicious refreshments that the hostesses served. April hostesses will be Mrs. Lena TritschIrs. Mata Lutz and Mrs. Anna Gansemer. Circle III met at the home of Mrs. Joe Stibal with Mrs. Bob Aspedon and Mrs. Lena Tritsch as Co-hostesses. In the absence of Mrs. Tritsch who has moved to Lincoln Mrs. Lester Meisinger too her place. The meeting was conducted by chairman Miss Laura Meis inger. Mrs. L. W. Egenberger pre sented the devotional message which was taken from the Guild Devotional book. . At the close of the regular business, contests were indulged in and prizes pre sented to Mrs. Fred Mumm, Mrs. L. Naeve, Mrs. Mike Kaffenber ger and Mrs. Orvil Kahler. Mrs. Naeve drew the door prize. Eighteen members and six vis itors wrere served refreshments by the hostesses. St. Patrick theme was used. Mrs. Frank Bierl, Mrs. Ed Meisinger and Mrs. Ford Heim will be hostesses for April. Union A. L Auxiliary Plan Activities Union American Legion Aux iliary held its regular meeting Tuesday afternoon, March 15 at the Legion hall. Hostesses were Mrs. Howard Snodgrass, Mrs. Lester Waldo, Mrs. Jack Courtney and Mrs Wayne Scoles. Letters from the state depart ment were read. , $5.00 was voted for the Leon ard Wood Memorial fund and $5.00 for the Red Cross. The annual high school party was to be held. Boys' and Girls' County Gov ernment will be in Plattsmouth, April 13.' Mrs. Ted Brannon, Mrs. Harry Gobelman and Mrs. Wayne Ack ley were appointed kitchen com mittee; Mrs. Fred Clark, chair man dining room, and Mrs. Frank Hobscheidt, program for the annual luncheon and baz aar in April. A music period was held. Refreshments were served during the social hour. Miss Helen Neddenriep spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. Martin Npddenriep. and Dale, at Brock, Nebraska. On Feb. 1, Bruce terminated four years' service in the Air Force, he having served at the Thule A. F. Base, in Greenland and at Boiling A. F. Base at Washington, D C. Bruce is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Wiles, Plattsmouth, Neb. - Basket Supper Honors Union Legion Post In honor of the American Leg ion birthday a basket supper was held at the Legion hall Tuesday evening, March 15 at 6:30 for the Legion and their families and Auxiliary and their families. A large crowd attended. . . The evening was spent in games and visiting. Devotions and singing" were under the. direction of Mrs. Robert Brittain, with Mrs. Fred Fischer at the piano. During the business , session various .chairmen reported on past month's activities. Discussions were held, for plans for the district W. S. C. S. meeting in April, a mother daughter banquet in May and a covered dish' supper at general meeting with plans to be out lined for organizing a Wesley- an Guild. Voting was held on eligibility of members for "gift life mem bership," members were also asked to return treasure chest boxes at the next meeting. Installation of officers to be held at the next W. S. C. S. meeting. Mrs. Grant Roberts presented the lesson, "Mary Mother of Jesus," which was very interesting. Meeting ad journed. Entertainment under the ar rangement of Mrs. J. A. Capwell was a piano selection by Miss Marion Urback, and the award winning essay by Carolyn Robin son. . - . ' The table was decorated in St. Patrick's theme and lunch served by hostess, Mrs. Brook houser, assisted by Mrs. Lloyd Fitch and Mrs. Mary Nelson. , 1 North Liberty Club Meets at Moritz' The North Liberty club met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Jesse Moritz with Mrs, Geo. Rieke as co-hostess. There were 16 members and one visitor, Mrs. Rachel Farris, present. The president, Mrs. Otto Ehlers, was in charge at the business meeting. Mrs. Merle Rogers, song leader, led the group singing. It was voted to donate $2 to the Red Cross. Mrs. Gail Hoback and Mrs. Clarence Beccard pre sented the lesson on electrical appliances after which the host ess served delicious refreshments in which the St. Patrick motif was used.
