s? Ted Hadraba, Foreign Service Advisor, Visiting Ted Hadraba, son of retired druggist Joseph F. Hadraba, has arnvea in Plattsmouth for a two week visit with his father, his sister, Mrs. Don Cotner, and oth er relatives and friends. On this particular visit, Ted has come from Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, where his father had visited last winter He has been there since August" 1953, as state department ad visor on the staff of the United States Air War College, highest educational institution in th.P Air Force, with an annual class! 01 aooui ido specially selected air force full colonels and equiva lent rank from other services. Hadraba graduated from Plattsmouth high school in 1925 and from Northwestern Univer sity in 1929. He is near the top in his profession as a career foreign service officer. He has held posts abroad at Prague, Czechoslovakia; Brussels, Bel gium; Bern, Switzerland; and Ankara, Turkey. His current as signment is his third state-side tour of duty since he entered the Foreign Service. At Ankara, he served four years as economic counselor at the American embassy. He has been listed in Who's Who since 1952. Schreiner, exchange student from Vienna, Austria, outlined his views before Platts mouth Rotarians and Rotary Anns Tuesday night of America. Heinz, a teacher at the Uni versity of Nebraska with a mas ter degree m chemistry, ex plained that America is a grand place in which to live, and that few Americans actually appreci ate it. I. L. Kocian, president during the past year, presided at his last meeting which was held at Holy Rosary church. Guests at the evening dinner meeting in addition to Rotary Anns were Mrs. Wm. Chadron, Nebr. Mrs. Edna Baker, formerly of Rock Bluff, who has been a pa tient at the Soldiers and Sailors Home at Grand Island, has re turned to her home in Omaha. Lantz Services Are Held at Louisville Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 23, at Faith Lutheran church by Rev. W. F. Most for Mrs. Benjamin R. Lantz, who passed away June 21, 1954, following a long illness. The body was brought from Kansas City to Louisville, where brief services were held at the Fusselman funeral home, con ducted by the Rev. Melvin Mey er. Mrs. Lantz was a sister of Mrs. Mabel Dall of Manley and also of Mrs. Lillian Gauer of Louisville. Foster-visited Mrs. Dorothy Todd Thursday night at the Methodist hospital. Mrs. Frank L. Cummins re turned home Thursday from a weeks visit with her son, Norris at Akron, Ohio. She also at tended funeral services of a friend and classmate. Mrs. Lil lian Chapman at Detroit, Michigan. They also vis ited a cousin and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Aglugerf at Ana cortes, Wash. On their way home they stopped at Ogallala i and Kearney. j Louisville Webbs on Trip To Minnesota Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Webb are enjoying a vacation this week. They are driving up through Minnesota and will go on to Mil waukee to visit "their son, Dave, Jr., and family, before returning home. Louisville Mr. and Mrs. Bud Schoeman left last week end for Michigan for a visit with Mrs. Schoeman's j sister and husband before set tling down in a home of their own. Bud recently retired from the navy after 20 years service. He spent the last 3 or 4 years in Hawaii. Louisville's town ball team won from Auburn Sunday night, 6-3, to close the first half of the season with a win. The team won two and lost 3 out of the first half series. Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Mc Gregor returned home Friday night from Atchison, Kansas, where they spent a week visiting their son, Wm. R. and his wife. M-Sgt. and Mrs. Ervin Streh lan and family have returned to the states again after a tour of duty in Alaska. Mr. Streh lan expects to complete his army services here in the states. The family is now living at Ta coma, Wash. Miss Ruth Kile, former Louis- Robert Sell and babv daughter were able to return home from the hospital Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Inhelder of Denver are visiting at the E. A. Ingram home and with Mrs. Fannie Ingram. Mr. In helder is a nephew of Mr. Ing ram. They had been in Denver and in Kansas visit ing relatives before coming to Louisville. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Grell and Delmer and Mrs. Russell Coontz and Mrs. Ernest Beck, accompa nied Edward Grell to Omaha Thursday and .visited with Mrs. Edward Grell at the M. E. hos pital and made the acquaintance of the baby son of the Edward Grells. The Junior Legion team won the ball game Thursday night from Weeping Water, 16 to 4. Louisville J. B. Green Dies Suddenly I. B. Green, father of Paul Green and Mrs. Sylvia Koknke, died suddenly Tuesday p.m. at his home in Louisville. Mr. Green I was 83 years old and had not been too well but was able to i ccme down and get his mail and i supplies. I It is thought he suffered a heart 1 attack.
