C; Mrs. Ivcn Armstrong Couple Feted At Social Party A social evening was enioyed at the Merle Hill home in South Ashland Monday honoring Cpl. rind Mrs. Don Deal of Ft. Eragg, N. C. Others in the ptouo were Mr. and Mrs. Louie Timm and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Deal and Gary, Mr. and Mrs. James Carson and familv, and Mr. and Mrs. Chet Rhoads and son. Ice cream and cake were served during the evening. On Satudray evening Cpl. and Mrs. Deal were honored again at a dance at the South Bend hall. Lunch was served to a large crowd that evening. South Ashland - Mr. and Mrs. Meivin Wiles and Terry returned home Monday evening after having snent sev eral days at Wichita, Kans. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kellogg and family returned home Mon day evening. They had been vis iting Mrs. Keliogg's -sister. Mrs. Grace Pollei. and dauehter. South Ashland Ice Cream Social Is Successful An ice cream social was held at Trinitv Lutheran church cne evening last week. There were 125 people there to enjoy the homemade ice cream and cake. Twelve gallons cf cream was sold. A film was also shown, i called "The Forgotten People of bett -Fitzsimmons championship bout. Suddenly a blast of lead stopped the roulette wheels. The deadliest top-guns had come to take over the town! A brand new picture playing day and date on mass release!
