Despite losing 7 giris from last year's conference winner, the Cardinals scored 625 points while holding opponents to 396. Elinor Nielsen led scoring with S8 points followed closely by Neva Ruhge with 85. They placed second in the Otoe Invitational Tourney, 3rd in the Peru tournament and took the Cass County Tournament for the 3rd straight year. Each mem ber of the class was allowed to invite two guests. Twenty-four young people attended the party. Mr. Richard Sacks showed Pic ture slides of European scenes i he had taken while over-seaes. Various games were played by the group. All enjoyed a nice lunch. Murray Mr. Ralph E. Meyers visited over the week end with his daughter r.nd family. Rev. and Mrs. Val Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jenkins left for a visit with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jenkins, in Indianapolis, Ind. The family night at the Uni ted Presbyterian church is re ported to have been very enjoy- i able with a large crowd present !on Monday night. Lunch was ; served and slides were shown. ! Mr. Martin Sporer was award ed a red ribbon for his exhibit at the Hobby Show in Nebraska City Sunday. His exhibit was Indian relics and fur pelts. Guests of Miss Lois Sporer on Sunday afternoon were Miss Sally Gaines and Miss Beverly Brown cf Plattsmouth. The Ladies Aid met at the home of Mrs. John Stones Wed- j nesday. Friday at Hodgeman Splain. Mr. Brehm died Tuesday after a long ill- neivb. ne was Dom in uncoin and had been a resident of Greenwood at different times since 1936 until 1951. He was a member of the Musicians Union Local 463 and of the Elks Lodge No. 80. Surviving are his moth er, Elizabeth Brehm, and a brother, Henry Brehm, Jr., both of Lincoln. The Rev. Mrs. Glen Thompson reports her granddaughter came down with mumps the day after she came to the Thompsons with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. Miller, of Omaha, to spend the week end. Mrs. Thompson also reports her daughter. Mrs. Mil ler, became ill Sunday with a sore throat. The Millers spent the rest of the following week here, while recuperating. Murray Clifford Rogers Heads Group The Senior C. E. groun meets are held alternately on Mondav I evenings at 7:30 at the United Presbvteriah church and the Christian church. The meetine was held this week at the United Presbyterian church. The next meetinr will be on Apnl 6th at the Christian church. The Junior C.
