Carni cle home were Mr. and Mrs. Homer Carnicle and Wynne of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O' Brien of Louisville. Mrs. F. J. Knecht and Mrs. Oscar Dill attended the exten sion club on Tuesday alternoon at the home of Mrs. Lucy Kel logg in Ashland. Mrs. Bernard Dill and Mrs. Fannie Christensen visited with Mrs. Vyril Livers Friday after noon. They were evening call ers at the Geo. Vogler home. Bernie Bion.and Janice Dill attended the birthday party for Laverna Dill at Lincoln on Sat urday. Laverna was 3 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Nunn were week end guests at the John Fipps home in Omaha. Dr. and Mrs. Charles Harms and family of Lincoln called on Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rosencrans and family Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Vyril Livers called on Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thimigan and families at Pal myra Sunday. Suuth Bend POLIO VICTIM Mrs. Tom Carnicle was taken to Bryan Memorial hospital Sunday suffering from polio. South Bend Mrs. Olive Moffet, Klamath Falls, Ore., and Mrs. Mertle Campbell were week end guests at the Glen Thiessen home. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Carnicle and Wayne of Lincoln were sup per guests Sunday at the Larry Carnicle home. Verla Livers has returned to Nebraska Wesleyan for her sophomore year. She will make her home at the Phi-Mu sorori ty house. 813 Mrs. Hazel McGinness return ed home from Minnesota from a two week's visit with relatives and friends. Sunday callers at the Larry Carnicle home were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O Brien of Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wizeman and daughter. Mrs. Mertle Campbell of Oma ha had supper Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wizeman and daughter of Greenwood called at the J. L. Carnicle home Sunday evening. Mrs. Clyde Haswell called Monday morn ing. Little Mary Lou Carnicle is staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O'Brien at Louisville while her mother is in the hospital. Eula Lackey and Glen Weaver and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lackey were calling on friends at South Bend Saturday. South Wc Mrs. Richards Has Guests Mrs. Hugh Vargas and son and Mrs. Bill Haynie spent Fri day with their mother, Mrs. Dora Richards. Week end guests at the Richards home were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Marcoe and Roy Richards of Omaha. South Bend Enjoy Picnic At Omaha Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dill and family and Mrs. Fannie Christ ensen enjoyed a picnic at Oma ha Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wotland and family of Taylor. Mrs. Christensen re turned to her home at Taylor after a month's stay with the Dill family. Sgt. William Wilkinson of Fort Riley, Kansas, was here over the week end, a puest of his sister, Mr. Ray Klaips. America uses as much steel which depends on coal as all the rest of the world.
