Louisville Californian Is Guest Elton Wilcox of Portervillc, Calif., has spent the past week as the guest of his brother, Theo and wife, and father, Jack Schlater. It is 32 years since Elton left here. He is in life insurance business. Louisville The contractor poured the first concrete in the new pave ment being laid on the No. 50 highway from the north end of the Platte river bridge. Louisville Illness Delays Departure Leonard Franks of Stanton and his wife were Memorial day guests at the Dan Thornton home and were intending to re turn home Saturday. Avoca Library Board Plans Celebration The Library Board held its monthly meeting Monday eve ning. Plans were made for the July 2 celebration. Mrs. Carl Zaiser was appointed general chairman. Plans are also com plete for a childrens story hour starting June 14 between 3 and 4 o'clock. Avoca Paul Straub was a business visitor at Salina. Kansas, last week. A vn-n Resigns After Twenty-five Years Henry Maseman has resigned his job at the Avoca Lumber Co. which he has held for 25 years. He will be custodian at the Avoca school starting July 1.
