Nebraska, hav ing fully investigated and con sidered the sanitary conditions of said City, and being fully advised in the premises there of, and having duly considered the necessity of correcting and improving such conditions with in the City of Plattsmouth, Ne braska, do hereby find and de clare it advisable and necessary to pass this resolution and to construct sanitary sewers in Sanitary Sewer District No. 7 consisting cf a main and lateral sewers as hereinafter provided. Section 2. That said sanitary sewers shall be known and here inafter designated a.s "Tanitary Sewer District No. 7." Said san itary sewers shall be constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Henningson, Durham & Rich ardson. Inc., Special Engineer, for the City of Plattsmouth. Ne braska. Reference i: hereby made to said plans and specifi cations which were filed in the office of the City Clerk on the 14th day of January, 1952, and have been approved by the Mayor and City Council of the said City. Section 3. That said sanitary sewers in Sanitary Sewer Dis trict No. 7 shall be constructed of vitrified clay sewer pipe or cement concrete sewer pipe and any other material deemed suit able. The sewer pipe joints shall be constructed of either bitumi nous material or cement mor tar. In advertising for bid3, bids shall be asked for on cast iron pipe, wrought iron pipe, and on both kinds of sower pipe, and both kinds of sewer pipe joints. Section 4. That said sanitary sewers, consisting of main and lateral sewers as hereinafter provided, shall be constructed in said City, and the location, ter minal points, and size of sewers constituting said sanitary sew ers shall be as follows, to-wit: SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT NO. 7 Main Sewer An 8" main sewer beginning approximately at the intersec tion of the center line of Avenue "C with a line approximately 26 feet east of and parallel to CANDIDATE FOR Victor E. Anderson comes from a typical Nebraska background. His parents, Ernest E. and Mary Anderson, who came to the United States from Sweden, settled first in Omaha and then in Havelock where his father went to work in the railroad shops. Later, father and son became associated in a hardware store, a business which Victor E. Andersen still operates. Victor E. Anderson enjoyed a typical Nebraska boyhood. He carried newspapers, attended Sunday School, participated in grade and high school activities. He attended the University of Nebraska, but left in his junior year to join his father in business. Upon his father's death, Victor E. Anderson continued the operation of the hardware store. Victor E. Anderson has always been active in civic and political affairs, serving for 25 years as a Republican party precinct worker and com mitteeman. In 1949, he served as one of the outstandins members of kbraska Legislature. Victor E. As a result of his background and training, Victor E. Anderson takes a business-like, down-to-earth approach to governmental affairs. the west property line of 7th Street. Lateral No. 4 An 8'' lateral sewer beginning at the intersection of a line ap proximately 10 feet west of and parallel to the east property line of 7th Street with the center line of Avenue "F'"; Thence west along the center line of Avenue "F" a distance of approximately 158 feet. Lateral No. 5 An 8"' lateral sewer beginning at the intersection of a line ap proximately 10 feet west of and parallel to the east property line of 7th Street with the center line of Avenue "F"'; Thence east along the center line of Avenue "F" a distance of approximately 196 feet. Lateral No. 8 A 6" lateral sewer beginning at the intersection of a line ap proximately 4 feet wrest of and parallel to the west property line extended of the Lot 4, Block 4 in the original Town now City of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, with a line approximately 15 feet north of and parallel to the south property line of Avenue "D"; Thence east along the said line approximately 15 feet north of and parallel to the south property line of Avenue "D" a distance of approximately 48 feet. Lateral No. 9 A 6" lateral Eewer beginning at the intersection of a line ap proximately 17 feet east of and parallel to the, west property line of 7th Street with the cen ter line extended of the alley in Block 4, original Town now City of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Thence east along the center line extended of the alley in said Block 4 a distance of ap proximately 184 feet. Section 5. The kind of sewers proposed to be constructed shall be sanitary sewers. Section 6. To pay the cost of said Improvements, the City shall, after the Improvements have been completed and ac cepted, issue negotiable bonds known as sewer bonds for Sani tary Sewer District No. 7. The cost of such portions to said improvements as are local im provements shall be assessed to the extent of special benefits upon properties found to be es pecially benefitted thereby in accordance with th laws of the State of Nebraska, which as sessments, when collected, shall be set aside and constitute a sinking fund for the payment of said bonds. The City shall cause to be levied and collected annually upon all the taxable property in the City, a tax, which, together with such sink ing fund derived from the spe cial assessments, shall be suffi cient to meet payments of in terest and principal of said bonds as the same become due, said tax shall be known as a "Sewer Tax" and be payable annually in money. Section 7. M., on the 30th day of January. 1952. in the City Hall in said City for the purpose of considering objec tions to the passage of this reso lution and the making of these improvements, at which meeting this resolution may be amended and passed or passed as pro posed. Section 9.
