Mr. and Mrs. Richard Patton left Monday for Mllford after spending Christmas vacation here with her mother, Mrs. Phillip Miller. Weeping Water Coloradoans Are Recent Visitors Guests arriving at the home of Mrs. C. C. Baldwin last Sun day were Mr. and Mrs. Melville Baldwin of Ft. Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Abrams of Denver, Colorado. Coming from Ft. Morgan Tuesday was Orion Baldwin and from Omaha on Christmas day were Mrs. Edward Dowler, son, Wayne, and daugh ter, Ruth. Mr. and Mrs. Abrams spent, the week here while the Coloradoans returned the day following Christmas. Weeping- Water " " . Cpl. and Mrs. Wayne Beltz left Wednesday after Christmas for Hopkinsvllle, Ky and his station at Camp Campbell. They had spent ten days here with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Doty and Mrs. Amelia Beltz of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Orrille Kracht and children of Storm Lake, la., spent the week end here Christ mas with Mr. and Mrs. Chris Elgaard; Raymond Rehmeier of Omaha spent the holidays here with his grandmother, Mrs. El gaard, and Mr. Elgaard. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Grauer, Jr, have returned to their home in Manhattan, Kan., after a week's visit here with Mr. and Mrs. James Kivett. Mr. and Mrs. Omar Clark and son Jack of Burlington, Colo., spent Christmas holidays here with Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Wiles and other relatives. Weeping Wate Alan Parson Suffers Burns Alan, small son. of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Parson was accident al burned by hot grease Satur day evening. Mrs. Parson had poured hot grease from a skillet in a cup and Alan thinking that the cup contained something for him to drink climbed up to get it and 11 spilled over his body, resulting in third degree burns on his chest and severe burns on most of the rest of his body. He was taken immediately to the Children's hospital in Omaha. Mrs. Parson went up again on Monday to visit her son. Weeping Water Mrs. Frank Cook was hostess to the social club Bideawees Thursday afternoon, January 3. Mr, and Mrs. Eugene Colbert entertained members of their family Christmas Eve with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Colbert of Hastings, Cpl. and Mrs. Wayne ueuz or Hopionsviue, Ky., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Colbert, James and Robert, Mr. and Mrs. How ard Colbert, Sue and Dorothy, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Heneger, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Doty and Miss Winona Doty as their guests for the occasion. Piano and voice pupils of Mrs. S. H. Harmon were presented in a recital last Tuesday evening at the Christian church. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wise man drove to Topeka, Kan., where they spent the week end until Tuesday with their son and family, Sgfc. and Mrs. James Wiseman. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Jones of River Forest, 111., spent the holiday season here with his mother, Mrs. Arthur Jones. The were guests of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jones and family of Lincoln on Christmas day. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Smith and family drove to Auburn Tuesday, spending the day with his mother, Mrs. Grant Smith. Mrs. E. H. Norris enjoyed her family at her home . Christmas night. Present were Mr. and Mrs. John Norris, Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Ruby, Mrs. Wallace Philpot and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cooper. - Weeping- Water Miss Johnson Is Shower Honoree Mrs. Edward Slattery, Mrs. William Matteson and Mrs. Lloyd Ranney were hostesses at the latter's home Sunday after noon at a shower in honor of Miss Jean Marie Johnson. Games and visiting were en joyed. Miss Johnson received her gifts in a little red express wagon drawn by Joseph Slat tery, small son of Mrs. Edward Slattery. Small satin pillows were used as favors on the re freshment trays. Out of town guests were Mrs. William Gus sett, Mrs. Phillip Johnson and daughter, Holly, Mrs. Paul An sty, .Miss Mary Guthrie, all of Lincoln, Mrs. Guy Matteson and Jesse Griffin, both of Sutton. Miss Johnson's wedding is an event of January 20th. Weeping Water BIRTH Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner of Raleigh, N. C, are parents of an eight pound baby daughter. The newcomer has been named Linda Frances and has a brother two years old. Linda Frances' erandnarents here are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Steinkamp and in Tnmseh Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Gardner. Weeping Water Mrs. E. W. LaRue and daugh ter Patty were hostesses to a pre-New Year's family dinner at noon Sunday with Mrs. George Ellis and Miss Kathryri Ellis as their guests, Sunday evening they were joined by, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Morris of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Charles V. Wallick for lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Kast enlng and family celebrated Christmas day with ,a turkey dinner.
