There's New, Years, there's Christmas, May Day and the Fourth of July There's a day set aside for Mother, another for Dad even the dog has his days. But on this Labor Day, we merchants who have sponsored this advertisement wish this day set aside in special tribute to the Burlington Refrigerator and Express Company Shops in Plattsmouth and to the hundreds of men whose livelihood has been gained through steady employment in this vast enterprise. For over 80 years Burlington and BREX have been as much a pail of this community as the schools, churches and even the rising sun. Through the gates daily parade hundreds of skilled workers; -all an in tegral part of Plattsmouth. Dozens of you men and women have distinguished yourselves through your efforts in civic affairs. Much of Plattsmouth's most noted leadership and guidance has come from you men and women and through BREX dozens of Platts mouth men have gone on to higher and higher posts of responsibility in the vast, sprawling Chicago, Burling ton and Quincy Railway enterprizes. And so, on this Labor Day, we business men would like to pause and remind you of our sincere apprecia tion for our years of association here in Plattsmouth. We thank you for the many favors you have bestowed upon us in the past and trust as the years go by, all of us will continue to join in building a bigger and finer community, and a stronger respect for what BREX means to all of us.
