Xehawka Farewell Dinner Held For Lundbergs Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lund berg, Mr. and Mrs. Verner Lund berg and family, Omaha, and Doris Lundberg, Lincoln, were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Ruth Lundberg. The dinner was a farewell for Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lundberg, who leave soon for Endicott, N. Y., where he will attend school for four months and take training as custom engineer of electric ac counting machines for the In ternational Business Machine Corporation. When his course is completed he will be assigned to the Chicago district. Xehawka Juke Box Proceeds Go To Cancer Fund Mr. and Mrs. M. Myuskovitch recently purchased a tavern at Worland, Wyo. Since theid fa thers both died of cancer they want to do their bit for the Da man Cancer fund. All the pro ceeds of their juke box goes to this fund. Mrs. Myuskovitch is the daughter of Mrs. Henry Swartz. She and her daughter, Doris, of Lin coln, spent part of the time at Rocky Mountain National park and in the Colorado mountains. They also visited the Royal Gorge. On their way they stopped to visit relatives and friends in Nebraska and Kansas. KfhawKa Dinner guests at the F. O. Xehawka Thoren-Hoback Rites Solemnized Miss Anna Thoren, daughter of Mrs. Nels Thoren, was mar ried to Marion Hoback of Ne hawka, Nebr., on July 3, 1951. Mrs. Georgia Hoback is the bridegroom's mother. The couple will live in Nehawka. Nehawka Mr. and Mrs. Don Dory and son, Lincoln, were week end guests at the Marion Tucker home. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Shomaker home in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Waldo took Mrs. R. E. Williams and daughter to Lincoln Monday, where they will visit a week at the Rube Wrilliams home before returning to North Platte. Kropp arrived home from St. Edward Air Force base at Muroc. Mickey, their other son, arrived by plane two weeks ago to visit at the Tucker home. Mrs. C. E. Castle left for her home at Union City, N. J., after spending two months with her sister, Mrs. B. N. Kunkel. Nehawka Visits Sister In Oklahoma Mrs. R. B. The Missouri Pacific depot Is being raised and fixed up in general. - LoulsvUIe Brewmasters Have Picnic Recently The Brewmasters of the vari ous breweries of this section of the county were brought to the Charles Robeck home at Mead ow for a picnic on Sunday, July 15. There was quite a large gathering of the men and their wives. A : very enjoyable time was had by all. Mr. Lundberg has been bedfast since he broke his hip last winter. The Methodist Youth group had a picnic and swimming party at Steinhart park at Ne braska City Sunday. Couple Celebrates 15th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Garri son celebrated their 15th wed ding anniversary Sunday and at the some time celebrated Mrs. Garrison's birthday. Louisville James Derby finished boot training and arrived home Fri day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schlue ter and daughters called at the Lester Wagoner home Saturday evening. Workmen have been busy the last week remodeling the Eager Produce building and getting it ready for the installation of an air conditioning unit. Louisville - New Fireplace At City Park The new fireplace which the Lions club gave to the city park for picnicers has been com pleted.
