J. T. Rivett of Santa Cruz. Calif., has been visiting his sis ter, Mrs. A. M. Trumble and other relatives in Nebraska for several weeks. This was the first time Mrs. Trimble had seen her brother for more than 20 years. -B Mr. and Mrs. Percy McAlli ster of Lorraine, Iowa, visited relatives and friends in Eagle Wednesday, July 4th. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Wenzel. Mrs. Ida Oberle and Mr. and Mrs. August Schwegman of Eagle and Mrs. Albert Frohlich were the guests of Mrs. Kate Oberle of Lincoln on Sunday, July 1st. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd White of Purdum visited from Thursday until Monday with Mrs. White's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wall. Glenda Wall, a niece, accompa nied them home. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Schweg man had as their dinner guests Sunday, July 1st, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Garlits of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. John Sam Doty and daughter. Bernice, of Palmyra and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Nelson. Murray Mrs. Herman Wohlf arth. Correspondent Mr. and Mrs. Kinsley Jenkins and family trom Milwaukee. Wis., spent last week visiting at the home of Kinsley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kugler, Cres ton, Nebr., were week end vis itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Brubacher. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Britton, Jackie and Connie, Jr.. Omaha, spent Sunday with Mrs. Brit ton's mother, Mrs. Eugenia De Les Dernier. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nelson, son Bennie, Mrs. Anette Benson and Lavonne Botts. Lincoln, were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Selma Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mead und Jimmy Morris spent Tues day in South Omaha visiting the stock yards. Miss Loa Davis from Wash ington, D. C, spent last week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Wiles. . Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lan caster, Nancy and Janet, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hutchison and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Smith and Carol spent Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noell. The evening was spent playing pinochle. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Johnson last week were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Aus tin and Nancy, Lincoln. Nancy remained for a longer visit and will return home Tuesday eve ning. Murray Youth Injured; Struck By Ball Bat David Read had. the misfor tune of being hit on the head by a baseball bat Sunday eve ning, cutting quite a gash. In the absence of Dr. Tyson, he was taken to Nebraska City. Six stitches had to be taken. . Murray Mrs. Rachel Faris spent Sun day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wohlfarth. A shower was held at the Christian church Sunday after noon in honor of Joan Smith, who will be married July 17th. Thirty-nine guests were present. Murray Murray Stitchers Told New Projects The Murray Stitchers 4-H Club met at the home of Mrs. Melvin Todd with Nancy Todd as hostess. Thursday, July 5. The group discussed the articles made and learned what their next sewing project would be.
