Mrs. Blanche Kuehn is at the home now recuperating after her stay in the hospital. Miss Lillie Klemme, receptionist for the Drs. Liston, is rooming part time with her, and her daugh ter, Alice Kuehn. Mr. and Mrs. John Dankleff , wore in Lincoln Sunday after noon attending a recital in which her niece, Beth Janet Mendenhall, took part. The parents and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Mendenhall and Marilyn were also there. Taking part were ten voice students, Miss Edith Robbins being the in structor. Before the recital the Dankleffs called on Mr. and I Mrs. H. F. She says that her husband also contributed ideas. Going to Oakland on a recent Sunday to visit at the church service and parsonage home of Rev. and Mrs. C. H. Lind, were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Arnold, and Mrs. Emily Gonzales. Mrs. Muenchau and Mrs. Lew is Hollenbeck have both been having the flu the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kunz and three children moved into the Marshall residence in the northwest part of town a few days ago. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Marshall have been active visitors at the three day meeting of the state Farm Bureau in Lincoln. Mr. Marshall is the efficient pres ident of this great organiza tion. Ralph Gerbeling of Peru. Ill has purchased a store in Uni versity Place. He informs his mother, Mrs. Cora Gerbeling. that he will not move there un til some time in January. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Preston and daughter and son-in-law, have gone to Colorado from Lincoln to make their home. They are to have charge of a tourist camp at LaFayette. Coming to this community from Rockport, Mo., are Air. and Mrs. Lawrence Webster and four-year-old daughter, Linda. After a week at the Douglas apartment they will move to a farm home two miles north of town. Mr. Webster is to have charge of a bulldozer for work on the highways. Rev. and Mrs. Chester Wilcox have a somewhat novel way for part of their correspondence with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carter in Florida. Each have recording sets, and they send messages to be read by the ma chine in the other state. Community Kensington met on Tuesday, Nov. 30th, with Mrs. Ellis Miller. The special num ber was a humorous reading by Mrs. Douglas. Each one present had been asked to bring a Thanksgiving thought or poem. This proved to be interesting. After conundrums and a descrip tion of the birthstone of No vember, the topaz, and recogni tion of two members having this month lor their anniversaries, a delightful covered dish lunch on was enjoyed. The December holiday party is scheduled for the last Thursday, the 29th, at the home of the president, Mrs. Nettie Mendenhall. It will be between the holidays.
