As the Junior Court made its appearance on the street, the color scheme of the 1947 Koronation. green and white, wa? beautifully displayed. The Junior Court was heralded into the Realm by four Usher ettes dressed in white taffeta costumes with rreen sashes. Mar lone Albin. Goraldine Woods. After the past kings and queens were all assembled on the platform, the first new royalty entered the gates. Each town in Cass County was invited to send a ceumtess to particioate in the Koronation Ceremony. At this time in the ceremony, Mr. Bernhardt bade farewell to his subjects. After presenting his queen, Marianne Wetenkamo with a bouquet of red roses, she gave her abdication address. Mr. Bernhardt and Marianne reigned long nd well and the people of Korn Land extend their appre ciation. The trumpets heralded the en trance of the Sir Knights c.f the Realm. These boys are members of the Senior Class in the Platts- mouth High School. Upon reach- ing the royal dais, the Sir Knights formed a guard for the new king. As the hueee crowd awaited in expectancy the revelation of the king. Charles Stoehr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leenard Stoehr, at tired in the traditional white, ap peared, bearing the crown of the king. As he started his march to the throne, the new monarch of the Realm, Donald Born, was greeted with cheers and tumul tous arplause. Mr. Donald Born, His Majesty was respendent in bronze and gold silk coat with knoc breeches of white satin and ! buckled slippers that distinguish royalty. The new king received a warm hand from the crowd as he slowly made his way to the throne. He kneeled before the retiring king, who placed on the head of the new monarch, the crown of authority. King Bern hardt, in leaving the throne, pre sented to the new king the scep ter. The trumpets then sounded ! the arrival of the Queen's court ; Six lovelv Duchesses, chosen by poular vote of their respective! classes led the Queen's preces- and Oueen as Civilians . s- 1 - . $ - - x i I I v. as selected as Queen at Vednesdajr night's Koronation. Jean Mcisinger and Thel ma Wilson represented the fresh men class, Patty Speck and Edna Mae Buechler the sophomore "Viss. and Betty Uhlik and Janis rhinidtmann, the junior class. They were very charming in heir preen snel white polka dot Rustic-back net formals. The princesses made a spectac Mir.r sight in their gowns of green stin bodices and full white net irts. Each princess wore a white halo with a green bow. Al together they made a pictur esque setting through which the ":'"cn passed on her way to the hrone. The Ladies-in-Waiting were Joan Tiekotter and Doris Johnson, chosen by the aue'cn to aid in her reign. They added to the setting by wearing beautiful white net formals with ruffles of green and white. The flower girls were indeed prettv in their white net form als. They made a delightful pic ture as they walked down the street carrying their green and white baskets, dropping petals in the queen's path. The flower girls were: Patricia Mullee, Ruth Mann, Mary Ivcrson and Joan Bergman. The crown of the queen lay sparkling on a cushion borne by little Dianne Kay Steinkamp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Steinkamp. Charming indeed was she in her formal of ruffled white net. As the crown bearer started her march, the coach of the queen arrived, and from it emerged lovely Katherine Conis, selec ted as the new queen of Korn Land. The new queen was acclaimed by the crowds as she made her way to the throne and was truly 1 a popular choice for this honor. She wore a beautiful white gown of white taffeta with the flowing royal cape of white velvet trim med with ermine. The train was carried by Jan- - ice O'Donnell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack O'Donnell; Brian Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Nelson; and Jerry Walden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wal den. The charming trio were dressed in white. The new queen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Conis of Plattsmouth. The Queen was received at the throne and upon her head was placed the crown of Korn Land by the new king. The queen was truly a picture of youthful love liness as she stood amid the col orful setting of the Koronation, extending with the king, greet ings to the residents of the land cf the Korn. Chriswiser. They will rule over their year. ' King Born and Queen Conis were tendered a reception in the lobbV of the Hotel Plattsmouth where a large number called to offer their congratulations. . The royal party later attended the Koronation Ball where the color scheme of the Koronation was carried out in the decora- tions. E agle Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Mrs. Fred Wulf entertained the Dorcas Society in the parlors of the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday afternoon of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Caddv of Havelock called at the Valley Trumble home last Sunday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde West and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs..
