The pupils and teachers of the Fairland and Pawnee schools at tended the circus in Lincoln, Thurs day. Several of the parents also attended the circus. Fairland school had their regular monthly meeting on Friday night. The program was in charge of Mrs. Lloyd Scott with songs by the pu pils, a piano solo by Patsy Scott, songs by the entire group, followed by a spell-down. Mr. and Mrs. John Hoffman and son Carl were supper guests at the Emory Sherman home, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan E. Armstrong and Linden DeFreece visited with Mrs. Theodore Farmer at the Rob ert Mann home in Plattsmouth on j Tuesday. Mrs. Lloyd IJeFreece came Geo. Worth man and other relatives. Dr. H. W. Worthman visited the Veterans Hospital at Lincoln, Mon day. A miscellaneous shower was gi ven at the Francis Biggs home Friday in honor of Mrs. Jerry Ford, the former Beulah Alfrey, who was recently married in New York. A new fence nas been purchased for Glendale cemetery. A number of Louisville people attended the Shrine circus last week and report a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Schliefert and Miss Minerva visited Mrs. Schliefert's cousin, Carl Prosch, at the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Friday. The Rev. H. G. Cattau of Omaha was in Louisville, Monday calling on H. C. Goebel, who is" still con fined to his home due to an auto accident some time ago.
